Listening to Red 104.9 FM

You know despite the fact that I had only slept 3 hours this morning, I am mostly wide awake. Mostly.

The weekend was rather interesting:
Had to work the whole of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I was tired on Sunday morning. I would say about 70% of the whole office were working on those 3 days as well. And that does not include the Japanese guys, the wiremen, and the testers. Felt like a huge extended family because while everybody is pressured to reach the target before Monday, we still had time to joke and be casual.

I had 3 Nescafe tins, a ciggie and a red bull yesterday. I think that could have been why I couldn't sleep that well last night.

And my home computer cannot boot a couple of days ago... Sucks. Not that I mind since I wasn't home most of the weekend anyway. Bummed at a couple of friends' place because they were nearer to the office :)

Status: ^___^ Happy and Invigorated. And mostly awake. Mostly
Breakfast was skipped mainly because if I were to eat anything, I think I may vomit it all out.

Listening to Creep - Radiohead

Spent the early morning playing a 5 player game of Pirates of the Spanish Main, which resulted in me getting wiped out with 10 minutes of the game. I then proceeded to sleep in order to get enough energy for today's work.

Right now taking a short 15 minutes break. I guess I didn't have enough sleep, because I'm mostly lethargic throughout the thing. Fortunately, I can work mechanically without much thinking, and this does require lots of pattern recognition "skill" rather than a thinking brain.

Right now I'm feeling a bit tired, but pretty much awake. Tomorrow, I need to go to the Penchala Tunnel to do some stuff. Hopefully that would be finished within 5 hours, compared the 15-18 hours in the office.

Anyway, I have to log off now. Bye bye.

Status: Sleepy =_= and kind of happy ^_^

Listening to Don't Let Go Love - Envouge

Today, tomorrow and Sunday will see me working late nights/evening. I do hope to finish my task as fast as possible, but since it's a massive group effort, I doubt to be able to do much over the weekend except for work.

I hope to meet the people at the shop, but I doubt it. It gets more depressing, eh?

I miss the times when life was simpler, far less complex than it is right now. So many things going on in the background, and when you find out about it, you are entangled in the whole affair.

Of course, it does make life far more interesting.

Relationships. You think about it too much and it blows up on you. You don't think enough and it haunts you. Sheesh.

You know, you should make a relationship table to see just how is everybody related to each other. Should turn out to be fun :)

Status: Apprehensive ~_~ and Depressed T_T

Listening to I Want You Bad - The Offspring

Had some work till late this morning. 3:20 am to be exact. Came back to office after lunch. Still feeling lethargic.

I have been getting kind of agitated recently. There's this sense of dread looming overhead. I don't know if it is just me or something else.

Random sappy love song thingie in my head. Feel free to use it as long as you credit me on it :)
I Want to by Ahmad

I want to hold your hands,
I want to look you in the eyes,
I want to say I love you baby,
I want to be with you till the earth dies.

I want to taste your lips,
I want to touch your face,
I want to say I miss you baby,
I want to be totally amazed.

I want to touch your hair,
I want to hold you tight,
I want to say you are my life baby,
I want to always be by your side.

repeat ed. nauseum. :)

Listening to Runaway - Linkin Park

A woman beater is one of the most disgusting piece of trash in this world. Nobody has the right to degenerate another person especially if said person is his girlfriend/wife/loved one. And when physical hurt starts, that's when it crosses the line.

Onto something more lighthearted.
Online scrabble!

Of course, i just made a leap back in time over a decade ago, 1990, to be exact. I got a book from my dad for my birthday I think. What's the title? Haroun and the Sea of Stories. The author? Salman Rushdie. Yes, the same Salman Rushdie who wrote The Satanic Verses. Now now, before some of you start condemning me for reading the book, I have to tell you it's an excellent story. It's about the battle between the forces of words vs silence.

The battles are elaborate and the flow is simply beautiful. Everything it can't explain becomes P2C2E. Process too Complicated to Explain.

It is also where I learnt the word Khatam-Shud which means End, Finished, Over, etc.

Agitated #_#U, tired =_=, and still confuzzled @_@

Listening to The Test That Stumpted Me - Dream Theater

More Board-A-Lympics antics. Managed to win 2 golds this time around.
Scrabble (got really lucky in the game, though the tiles i got were really bad) and Puerto Rico. Thanks to Swedish's bedsheet, I had a comfortable pillow to rest my head on as I was really tired while playing the 2 games.
Scrabble highlight:
Triple word score with Codes/Silva, followed by Quick with Q on double letter score and double word score and Ax on triple word score.
Puerto Rico Highlights:
Can't remember... everythings hazy.

I am expecting to get totally shafted in Risk and Zombies because of this.

Listening to Baby! Baby! - Um Jammer Lammy OST

As you can see, I think I may have overused my allocated space on my friend's server. So, rather than ask for more, I'm reusing my olg blogspot site. Yeah, I had one. It still had my 2003 post till I updated it just now.

Status: Amused ^_^ and still confuzzled @_@ (starting a new trend here I see...).
No lunch yet. Not hungry. :D

Listening to Bitch - Meredith Brooks

It was a dark all hallow's eve when the stroy all began,
The children were asleep, the adults too, every woman and man.
Something in the cupboard started to stir.
And out came out a monster, wiggling it's rear.
It had a scaly green hide, slippery to the touch.
And a nastly low growl, that I can vouch.
It looked in all directions, for it had 13 eyes.
And large leathery wings that would allow it to fly!
The mouth was twisted and filled with teeth so razor sharp,
good for biting into children, and swallowing them in one gulp.
It had 6 limbs, all covered in the same green hide,
Each with 7 fingers, which was each an arm wide.
Saliva dripped from its mouth, as it thought of the child,
Sleeping in his bed, looking so tender and mild.
It slowly opened its humongous maw,
and with one quick chomp, the child was no more!

The End

Anyway, should probably post something relevant here...
Let's see... I was browsing through some internet site and came across this! I can't believe it! Win2K is hot. I think there's a bunch of links out there, regarding the OS-tan, some clean... some not so clean. If you get my drift.

Apart from that, I don't know. Want to say/write something. But self-constraint says no. ASDF

Listening to My Dad's Gone Crazy - Eminem

You know it's kind of funny when you seem to lose track of time when you're having fun?

I don't know how it happened, but last week, within a span of 5 minutes, I received 4 SMSs from 4 different people where I hadn't sent them any SMSes prior to those 5 minutes within the last 24 hours. Freaky.

Watched Meet The Fockers. Funny movie. Really. Will watch the uncut version for the Einstein scene.

Right now I'm in a confused stage. Really confused. I think I'll add a status thing to my food thing.

Today will be hectic as usual. Wish it wasn't so, but life would be dull otherwise :)

Well, since everybody knows it... it's the beginning of the Board-A-Lympics. Brainchild of Andy, the lympics pits 16 players into a grueling 20 board game marathon to be selected into the final 4, whereby the winner gets a board game of his/her own.

And so... let the games begin!!!

Listening to The Bitter End - Placebo

Weekend was excellent. Managed to WoW. Troll Rogue at level 19. Almost 20 now.... I think I'll make it to 20 before calling it quits for the night.

Remember the Christmas dinner I had with my uni friend? Well, she came over to KL/PJ for the weekend/today and we met up today after I had finished with work. Talked more about life in general, without the parental units listening in. Things has changed over the last 2.5 years. Then we visited her cousin's place in Bangsar. Talked about work, travelling and stuff in general. Had a great time!

After that, we looked at my bro's pictures in Europe.

Now I'm online. zzzzzz

Escape Move x 3
Manager Interferes! x 3 (Heel)
Oversell Maneuver x 3
Headstrong x 3
Strangle Hold x 2 (Heel)
I Already Warned You x 3
Leave Me Alone! x 3

Yes, I did not play Backlash! I suppose if I look back at it, I would have slotted it, but somehow it must have slipped my mind as I was going through my mid-match deck. Hahahaha.

Not so many maneuvers, even less actions, but helluva lot reversals. And extreme action hate. (9 cards + FBI's ability). All Talk No Action was an excellent pick as there are only 2 cards I would play as an action, namely The FBI Hit List (which I would not play 99% of the time because of the heat drawbacks... which makes me think now why did I slot it in the first place, hm...) and Escape The Rules.

Prematch would normally be like this:
Raleigh, Colorado
Managed By Dawn Marie
Underrated Superstar
This is Gonna be a Rocket Buster
This is Gonna be a Rocket Buster

Starting Handsize = 5 + 3 from Underrated

Against Backlash reliant decks, the Plan was:
Houston, Texas
Bitter Rivals
Glass Ceiling
Managed by Dawn Marie
It's All About The Game.

Starting Handsize = 0-6.

Never got to see the second plan ever. I wonder if it works.

1st Turn would be draw, playing Divas Revealed x 3 (Handsize 12) followed by ACEing Rocket Buster for a multi 0 fort maneuver. Then I would multi him to death.

BTW, I forgot to add that against Wai Loon, I just ate irrevirsible maneuvers left right and centre. And sustaining most of what he dished out.

Lunch was Nasi Minyak and lots of dishes. It was free too.

The Distance To Here - Live

Yesterday was a great day!!!

That concludes that my weekend was an excellent one!

Good things that happened on Saturday:
Got my World of Warcraft CDkey and played the game.
Gamed Warmachines

Good things that happened on Sunday:
Won the tourney! Yes! Won the WWE Raw Deal tourney. Got the Woman's Title Belt tourney prize for it too. I was extremely lucky in the last game to pull off the win. I played Heat FBI, and made the prematch and midmatch decks right before the tourney.
Interestingly enough, I forgot to change 1 card from my previous deck (tho still legal). The Heat FBI had It's All About The Game in it, with all the necessary cards, but I never did play the card throughout the whole tournament. Waste of Slots? Maybe. But it did give a good option against decks that relied on their backlash.

Round 1 was against Andy (Kane-Trol). His starting hand was pretty screwed up as he couldn't consistently reverse my maneuvers. Totally denied his fortitude while hitting with only Grapples. Hit him with a double underhook powerbomb for the pin. Pin Win. 1-0

Round 2 was against Loco (Hard Being This Original Undertaker). We fought each other pretty evenly. He denied me early fortitude, reversing every multi I put out turn after turn. But after hitting 2 snap neckbreakers followed by 2 atomic lariats, Arrivedeci to remove premier smackdown superstar, I gained the fortitude I wanted. He tried to hit me with his Trademark Finisher with his last card, and if I don't reverse it, I'll be dead, Luckily I had Manager Interferes in my hand, though I didn't see it until after I I looked through my ringside pile and backlash deck. D'oh. Pin Win. 2-0

Round 3 was against Wai Loon (Los Guerreros). The early game saw him dominating, but I hit back. Unfortunately, with his ability, he could survive the damage and went for the count out. Countout Lost. 2-1

So with a 2-1 result, I was afraid if I didn't make it to the semifinals. Twice before, I had been eliminated from the top 4, because the opponents I fought weren't "good" enough. This time around though, I managed to go through as there were just enough players with 2 wins or better.

So the semis pairings went like this:
Wai Loon - Los Guerreros(3-0) vs Ahmad - Heat FBI(2-1)
Ian - Foreign Object/High Risk RVD(2-1) vs Benjamin Phua -Stall Rock(3-0)

But wait! Since Wai Loon and myself fought each other just less than 5 minutes ago, the pairings were redone.

Wai Loon - Los Guerreros(3-0) vs Benjamin Phua - Stall Rock(3-0)
Ian - Foreign Object/High Risk RVD(2-1) vs Ahmad - Heat FBI(2-1)

I was lucky because I had a very bad matchup against Benjamin Phua's Rock, and stood a better chance to reach the finals against Ian's RVD.

I got my handsize to 9 on my first turn (Starting handsize 3+2 with draw and 3x Divas Revealed!). Not too bad considering he didn't play any maneuvers on his first turn. Excellent. Hit him for a bit with multis here and there before he reverses one. He plays Mr. Monday Night but I played Sustain Damage to reduce the damage to 1. I can't afford to allow his high risks to fly just yet. More damage with multi maneuvers before I hit him with The Whack. I think I won with Double Underhook Powerbomb.

With that result, I am on the road to the finals. w00t! And guess what? Wai Loon won against Benjamin. Benjamin couldn't keep up with the discard and all the usual Los Guerreros cheating. :P

Oohhh... Grudge Match Finals!

Having lost the last time around, I blurted out to him that I'm planning to use It's All About the Game. Well, needless to say, he countered it with a Bitter Rival of his own and "Old Schooled Wrestling Match"ed me. There goes that game plan.

WL: pass venue
A: Houston, Texas (each player gets to keep 1 card)
WL: Bitter Rivals
A: none
WL: pass Stip
A: pass Stip
WL: pass manager
A: Managed by Dawn Marie
WL: Old School Wrestling Match
A: This is Gonna be a Rocket Buster
WL: We Lie, We Cheat, We Steal
A: Underrated superstar
WL: I'm Gonna Break You
A: Pass

The game goes off with him hitting off the fortitude with Lariat takedown. I played 3 Divas Revealed! to get my handsize up followed by a non-multi snap neckbreaker. He reverses it with a back rake. Hits off another maneuver, I sustain damage, taking in some damage. Again, I attempted another multi, he reverses it again. This kept on going untilabout 5 turns later, he couldn't reverse my snap neckbreaker. This went into a double underhook powerbomb, Next turn, a multi military slam. And then on my next turn it was a multi The Fuggetaboutit. And on the next turn was yet another multi military slam. When he was left with the last card, I said I don't want to hit him any more and won with a count out.

For all that trouble, I won a Woman's Title Belt and a vengeance pack. W00t!

4 of us left Bangsar Shopping Complex to eat at Fish and Co. in Bangsar Village where one of our friend is doing part time. Great food. Seafood Platter is so yummy :9 Went back to Amcorp for about an hour or two, and then left for home. Slept for a couple of hours before waking up to continue playing WoW till 3am. Heh.

No breakfast - Nasi Lemak stall still not open :(

How crazy are you - Meja

This weekend was interesting. Really.

First was the no-sleep-because-we-karaoke-then-play-warmachines-till-daybreak event on Friday night/Saturday morning.

Second was the fact that I got my World of Warcraft CD-key!!! W00t!!! Heh. Yum. More W00t!!!
Playing on Gorgonash as a Female Troll Rogue. Played at the CC where I bought the game, and when I arrived at home, began installing the game immediately. Am at the moment downloading the patch updater. Within 1 hour, I'm level 6 already. HehEhheahHAHhhohhuhuh....

Later today will be another interesting day. Morning will see me cycling. Afternoon will see me at BSC for a WWE Raw Deal wrestling tourney. Hopefully it will be a good day :D I want my title belt!!!

Last but not least, I will be eating some seafood stuff at Fish & Co. One of my friends is working there, so I have decided to drop by. Yum. :9

Ho hum. It's a Friday. First Friday of the year too.

Hungry...

Hahaha. Every time I look at my blog, I feel disheartened. Dunno why.

To post or not to post. That is the question.

Bleh.

Blarg.

Not making any sense am I? I guess not. In fact, I don't understand why I'm typing out this convoluted blog entry either.

Zzzzz....

Maybe I should do something worthwhile. Well, work's worthwhile.

Maybe I'm like one of those old Disney movies where I break into a song every 15 minutes! Haha!!!

...

Maybe not.

Lunch was free. Yum.

Listening to Hunter - Dido

To everyone: A Happy New Year! It is now officially 2005, so I hope everyone can look into the future as optimistically as possible. If you can't, just look at it optimistically anyway :D

*Sigh*

Questioning yourself leads to the road of success they say. Looks like the slide of depression to me.

Breakfast - none, the usually nasi lemak store wasn't open.
