Hah! Bet you didn't expect a second post within the same day! I was reading Le Cirque De Kara Kuri book 3 today and the ending of book 3 was unexpected. What a shocker. Not many writers would do such a thing.

Anyway, just reminding all MAAO members about Rojak. I just hope that the AXN Anime Fest didn't dishearten you people. Think BIG okay? :D

I also did an evil thing after the AXN fest. I found it hard to sleep (adrenaline maybe?) so I popped the RO Installer CD into my computer at 3 in the morning after the MAAO financial meeting. Next thing I knew, I was still awake at 5 am.

Most of Sunday was spent lazing around trying to recover from the uber tiredness of the previous day/night/morning. Got to say hi to Eisu via IM and asked whether he was on the road to recovery (to which he replied yes). The lethargic feeling continued on till yesterday (which resulted in me not getting a lot of work done).

I have yet to have dinner at the moment. And probably be eating at 9 only. Lunch was chinese fried rice and iced barley.

PS> Now that I noticed it, a lot of my blog posts are usually not in chronological order. I mean, take today for example, I'll post things about today, then proceeded to talk about things that had happened 2 days ago. Sheesh.

Ok... AXN fest was hectic to say the least. First of all, I think we didn't expect that many people to go to it. Second, it was a rather small hall to accomodate 2k people at a time. I think Eisu, Booya and Reins can give better details on the account of the day. I however will give MAAO statistics as below:

Average MAAO Sleep Time before the event: 4 hours
Minimum amount of POed MAAO members at snatch thieves: 10
Amount of tired MAAO members by the end of the day: 10
Amount of idiots I met: 3

Time prints and zines were sold out: 1:15pm

You know, I shouldn't really type late in the morning or when I'm really tired. Reading the previous entry, I think my head's a bit screwed up at that moment. Heh.

You guys must be wondering why this newest entry is up... After arriving in Proton at 9 am, I discovered that only 1 person from my company was there. I played FFTA while waiting for the door to the control centre to be opened by the Proton Maintenance guys and then finished whatever I needed to do. Now mind you, since my brain was still in a dazed state due to fatigue and brainless monster bashing in FFTA and the coldness of the air-cond of the room, my drive back to office was filled with momentary lapse in consciousness. At least 3 times.

Well, at least I'm still alive and am not in an accident or else I won't be typing this here :D

And I skipped lunch again.

Let me tell you something about the GBA. It has a great little LCD screen. It's comfortable to use. It has FFT Advance. And it doesn't eat batteries. And I mean it. So far, I've been using the same battery that came with the GBA and I've played at least 10 hours on it. Maybe more since I did at one point playing FFTA till 12 and fell asleep, only to wake up at 4 am and finding out that the handheld is still in my hand and it wasn't switched off :D

Most notable thing that happened over the weekend was that 50 copies of Amateur Toast were printed. Oh and my dad bought the home computer a Sharp flat LCD screen. My table doesn't look too cluttered at the moment as my father wanted to use the flat screen. Oh and my comp finally got a RAM upgrade. Now it's 512 MB.

Also, I bought a couple more models for my warhammer 40k army. I need to start saving money again before payday (which is approx. 4 more days).

Later today it's off to Tanjung Malim again. And tomorrow. Won't have time to blog within that time.

Lunch was skipped. Dinner was fried rice and fried kuey teow. And some keropok.

I bought a GBA (Milky Blue color scheme) and FFTA. AHAHhaHAHAha. The FFTA catridge is a bit faulty (can only save in battle maps and not overworld). The battle system's like FFT. But the skill you can learn uses FF9 style, i.e. You need to equip the relevant items with the relevant skills to use the skill, and gain enough AP to master those skills before being a global skill (I guess they didn't have the room for the processing). Wow that's a mouthful.

I'm gonna bring the GBA to Perak tomorrow and when there's a break, I'll be happily playing the game :D

Also, on Saturday, I bought a new cover for my Nokia 8210. It's black. And it's a rubber casing. Nice grip and the new buttons are really responsive. Got it off at 7 bucks too. Whoops it's 12 am. I need to be in Proton City at 8:30. The drive is 1-1.25 hrs.

Bye~

Dinner were leftovers from lunch, sambal udang and egg omelette.

[edit]Couldn't sleep. I'm gonna have problems driving later =_=;;; Found the official Wild Arms Alter Code F homepage while browsing thru some forums. It looks stunning. Best thing is, it sees the return of the 3 characters from part 1. W00t!

Wahahaha... I'm not in Perak today. Actually am working at home. Taking a break right now.

My bro went back to the UK yesterday. I couldn't see him off at the airport because I was working in Proton City :(

From what I've read in Wizards, Alan Moore is gonna stop writing :( That means no more League of Extraordinary Gentlemen :( Crap.

Oh, and today I plan to indulge myself... I'm gonna buy myself a GBA. Just because my bro got a second hand one for 30 quids in the UK and he bought FFT Advance on Friday. I'm gonna buy the same thing (minus the buying the GBA in the UK, I'm gonna get one here) :) FFT rox :D And I never knew that the GBA is a 32-bit machine. I've always thought it was 16-bit.

Lunch was home-cooked yong tow foo. Yum :9

I am working in Tanjung Malim, Perak yesterday, today and will probably be this weekend too. Exactly what am I doing there? Proton City, baybeh. The whole shing dang is HUGE!!! And the system I'm working on can switch the lights off in any of the 5 buildings remotely from 1 computer. Maybe on Sunday I'll try to switch ALL the lights on or OFF to see if everything works :D

Oh, and A HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY B'DAY to Aimo. Towels. Heh.

Swirlies......... They make my head spin. Just something interesting...

Sep 8, 2003

I am back!!!

Kota Bharu and Kuala Terengganu weren't so ulu as I thought they were. *avoids bricks from Aimo, Reins and Booya* The drive was extremely relaxing (we took the leisure route), about 1350km both ways (of which I drove half). The beaches are beautiful. The people are nice. It felt like Sandakan a bit.

Company trip's delayed to December! That means I'm going the AXN Anime CON! W00t. And guess what, the trip's no longer to Haatyai, but instead to Kuching! Hanie, you have to tell me where's the good locations for food and stuff :D

Sep 4, 2003

I'm on leave tomorrow~~~~~~~~~

I shall be netless for the next 3 days, and will be in KB, Kelantan. Second part of my cousin's wedding.

Watched Traffic last night. It's another great movie! Unlike the title, it's not about car jams, but about drug trafficking. Superb casting, brilliant plot, great acting. It's a good drama and not one of those "Wham, Bam, Thank You Ma'am" kind of movies.

My sleeping time has settled down a fair bit, and I can finally not wake up feeling shitty at all.

For those interested, my open canvas folder is available for download. These are the doodles that I'll upload when I'm bored. I think I'm gonna stick with the mouse only for this which means no tablet art. Heh.

Sep 3, 2003

My body clock's a bit wonky this last few days. Since I had gotten used to sleeping sleeping at 2-3 am during the weekend, I'm suffering from partial insomnia. Right now I'm getting panda eyes, fatigue and once in awhile a pounding headache.

Also managed to watch 28 Days Later and Battle Royale the last few nights. I must say while 28 days later failed to surprise me, it was not that bad a movie. You get more scared of the humans then you are of the infected. Battle Royale on the other hand, was a great show. The sheer irony of everything that happened in the movie was brilliantly pulled off. And all the blood, violence and gore... well, it's not over the top and actually managed to stay pretty realistic.

Friday: Worked till 12 midnight
Saturday: Worked at site till 3. Went to office and worked till 12 midnight
Sunday: Worked till 2 pm and then went to cousin's wedding. Day ended at 3 am after playing a bit too much Wild Arms 3 and Silent Hill 3
Today: In the office at the moment. Probably will try to catch a nap later on. However my Yahoo and AIM will be on, so if you feel like chatting go ahead and bugger me. Unless I'm asleep, of course. (This comp doesn't have a speaker)
