I had the character design drawn before but it was pushed way into the back of my head and was only remembered when I played WA3. OK, it's official. I am back into Magic: the Gathering. Me and my bro both. Well, kinda. Not gonna try to find any of those lost 4 years worth of expansions, but instead gonna continue with the latest expansion: Onslaught. Well, I think I'm gonna stay as a casual player and make money out of this game rather than really going in :D Since 1 booster = RM10 and whenever I buy any, I play a draft mini-tournament in which all the players get to keep their drafted common and uncommon (which can go for RM0.50 to RM5) and still get to pick 3 rare cards which can easily be worth RM 12 to 20 (though there are some which are worth way more than that) depending on how you ended up in the tourney. Let's just say that the resale value is good if you can find buyers :)

I also got a screen of my current desktop. That's how cluttered the taskbar is usually. The 2 dos/bat programs in the quicklaunch are for Doom and Worms respectively. Winamp isn't running anything because my 7-8 years old speaker isn't really working.

I bought Suiko 3 and Wild Arms 3 over the weekend. That and LOTR: TTT (the game). I haven't checked LOTR yet, but...

Wild Arms 3 blows me away! IT'S BEAUTIFUL! Old skool RPG! The music is great and really fits into the western setting. The cel-shading is lovely. The character designs are very well done. The story is pretty good so far (albeit cliched) but it's executed very differently from previous games.

Suiko 3's opening was superb too. But the 3D view point irks me. I wish they had stayed with the 2D perspective. I hope Stallion is still around in this game because the movement is friggin' slow. Come on True Holy Rune! The battle system is more refined compared to the previous 2 games, though I still wish it was sprite based. I might delay playing this when compared to WA3.

Oh, BTW, anybody has a Suiko 2 save on a PS2 mem card? For some odd reason I can't transfer mine :( But it's incomplete too (couldn't [SPOILER]save Nanami and finish off Clive's Quest:([/SPOILER]). I still have my ultimate complete Suiko 1 save if anybody's interested :)

Amazing race was amazing! Glad the team that was eliminated wasn't one of my favorites :) In fact I really disliked them.

I got some viral infection yesterday. Felt really sick. Vomited 4 times, diarhea and migrane. Bleh. It's better this morning, but there's still a tinge of headache left.

I also downloaded 3 very nostalgic games (to me at least). The first is Worms which is a kill-all-other-players kinda game. The second is Doom. Yes, Doom. The post-wolfenstein 3D game. And it still rocks. And last but not least is Civnet. Think of Civilization 3, but with older graphics but the same additiveness.

Yesterday was MC day. Woke up with a bad case of running nose and hugh temperature. I was suprised it only lasted till the afternoon. Today is an evil working day too ~_~

Also got myself Shox (rally racing), Winning Eleven 6 (football), and Legend of Legaia (RPG) for the PS2. Haven't got a chance to try them out yet, but will do so later today. My bro is taking his SAT2 exam at 8:30 this morning, so wish him luck. It's unfair to be the older sibling of a much more academically intelligent little brother.

On a much somber note, my grandmother on my dad's side has been checked into the hospital in my hometown (I consider my grandparents' place as my hometown, not my parents, since they stay over here in PJ). Heart failure. Will go back tonite to see her and wish her a well recovery.

OMG! Amazing Race next week will be cool. The teams get to play around with an APC! :O I'm in support for the cop + fireman team.

Today's YUA2 episode is a slow character development one. None of that zaniness that is usually YUA.

On other news, I think I'm falling sick with fever... Ugh. Also, in the office today, a colleague and I started off with the jigsaw puzzle that I had bought nearly 4 months ago. I think we fnished about 1/5 to 1/4 of the whole thing. Mind you that it's 1000 pieces. The only thing that's annoying me is that it's an el cheapo puzzle, so the interlocking parts are not strong enough and the puzzle gets messed up every time we try to put in a new piece -_-

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! This site is planning to translate Jojo manga!!! Right now they have nothing and are in need for translators. Since we Malaysians have the BM version, translating it to English would be a cinch! Woohoo!!! Quick, go help these guys out.

Gyahahahaha. Actually nothing to say. I'm just online and am really bored. Suikoden 3 will be out on OCT 22!!! And Wild Arms 3 will be out soon too.

Yesterday I went to eat ikan bakar at Jalan Bellamy. It's rather cheap... and damn good. :9 I think I'm going there again soon.

Bleh. The whole day today I was deprieved of my internet connection. Actually, the whole office suffered. Hopefully the optical equipment will be up by tomorrow.

Amazing race was good!!! Wahaha. It's amusing to see a cop and fireman beating the red light in broad daylight :D

Also bought a Tarot Card Deck for my mum's birthday (which is in November, but I takut I would forget then). The deck looks nice, but I haven't got to trying it out yet :(

Also be warned. I'm updating the blog tomorrow, and if you don't like DOS, then... I can only say I'm sorry. The layout is pretty much complete, it's just that I didn't have any connection earlier today.

In 11 hours I will catch Amazing Race. No disturbing then please :)

Anyway, trip down to Jementah was pretty much uneventful. We didn't stop by Melaka tho :( So I didn't get a chance to buy belacan then. Stayed overnight at Segamat (which is incidentally 25 km away from Jementah and my grandad used to be an OCD there before he moved to Muar). Had ikan siakap bakar for dinner on the first night. That and Yong Tou Foo. Yummy. Hotel was pretty okay, though my room had lukewarm water instead of boiling hot. Bleh. TV was pretty good. I had my first viewing of Spin City and I must say that it's bloody funny.

The next day we went and visited the Jementah PMU (Pencawang Masuk Utama) which was a 33/11kV step down substation. There were 3 guard dogs there. One was a German Sheperd too. One of the dogs was eating grass... :O Finished the survey and travelled back to KL. Stopped at the Ayer Keroh Rest area and bought myself 2 bottles of cencalok! Woohoo! I didn't see any belacan though :(

Today I got Grandia Extreme and Dual Hearts (the former is a Gamearts-Enix Collaboration while the latter is made by the Alundra team). Dual Hearts is colorful action/puzzle platform RPG (think of Alundra 2)... but the Baku scares me. Especially when it wiggles. Ugh... As for Grandia Extreme... the bad voice acting is back... but the battle system is still as fun as ever. FYI, there is no more frequent save spots in the game. You must try to complete a dungeon in one go... which frankly scares me because the bosses in the game can kill your characters. The good thing about the game is that you get 8 people to fool around with. Of course that means more leveling up... Oh well...

Going off to Melaka today and Jementah tomorrow. Staying overnight, I think. There is only one thing on my mind that makes the trip worthy:

Eweehehehehe... Boss hasn't been around today and yesterday. In fact, only technicians and a couple of young engineers are around. Guess what I did? I brought my PS2 to play :D Fifa World Championship is good in a server room. They have a 25 inch Trinitron TV here. And Astro (though it isn't paid...) I wanted to borrow the overhead projector to play the PS2, but the techinician holding the keys to the room holding it isn't around :(

I... finally... got... Photoshop... 7.0... installed... in...the... office... computer...
