Found out that the "little tremor" I felt yesterday caused a 10 foot tidal wave to crash into Penang. The wave seemed to have hit the TNB house which was about 20-30 meters away from the beach. I heard that the death toll was not so bad in Malaysia, but reached the thousands in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Indonesia. Approximately 21k+ people died, and many more injured.

I have to consider myself lucky because it could have been me there. We were lucky we left for the roads 2 hours early before impact.
