After my Kuching trip, I had to go to Kuantan for some more work. That was a week ago. The client was a university, and after 5+ year, I had to step back into U (although this time without the lectures and exams...)

It's feels familiar even though it's a different university than the one I took my degree. There was a subtle difference when you're there for work though. I can't quite place a finger on it.

Here's some more news:
I bought Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for the Wii, downloaded Sin & Punishment for the virtual console and pre-ordered Super Mario Galaxy. I think that should keep me busy well into next year... Hahaha.

To those I have talked to, you people know that I'll be on a 2 week holiday trip to Amsterdam. My brother's currently working there, and since I haven't visited Netherlands yet, so why not? The trip will be taking place on the 14th of December and I'll be back on the 31st. I might make road trips to the surrounding countries like Germany or Poland while I'm there. Not sure what exactly is the plan just yet.

As of right now, I am currently divided doing a couple of things (excluding work), mainly getting my Flames of War 15mm Soviet army assembled, painted and prepped for gaming, guitar hero 3, "facebooking" and some other stuff. It should be an interesting finish to the year.

Also, it's almost the end of the year... I wonder how much of my New Year's resolution did I accomplish?

Here's a quick rundown of what has happened recently (or going to happen soon):
1. Been painting my Flames of War 15mm Soviet Strelkovy army (Infantry). I'm halfway done.
2. Friday 19 October 2007: Dinner with ex-office colleagues and former team members of Smart Tunnel at Kelana Seafood Restaurant. Pretty good food.
3. Saturday 20 October 2007: Hectic day. Too many things happening on this day. At 3, was the soft launch of my friend's game shop (it was already open, but this officiates it). There was quite a crowd. Played the Formula DE board game twice. VRooooOooooM!!!! Damn sweet game. Hahaha.
4. Watched the Everton - Liverpool derby match. A few choice words: The referee was BIASED. Enough said. Everton ending up losing 2-1.
5. However everything was okay after that as I joined the rest of the Ex-MAAO guys in the 24 hour comic marathon. About 50 people have to draw, ink and add dialogue their own 24 page comics (one for each hour) from 20th October 12 pm to 21st October 12 pm. It was crazy. Just from the small amount of people I chatted with, I could see the passion and drive these guys have. Gender, race, age, style wasn't an issue. Everyone was suffering (I mean, who doesn't suffer when they have to make 24 pages in one go. Talk about creative drain :P), but they were all doing it together. Cheers to you all, mates! I stayed with them till almost 4 am (security locks up the place), trying to give support. Maybe next year I'll be able to join too. :D
6. Sunday 21st October 2007. Went cycling in the morning. 50km. Pretty good ride. Made it within 3.5 hours after a breakfast stop of about 30-45 minutes. The only bad thing out of it? I got bitten by a stray dog. No bleeding, but I took a tetanus shot just in case. It's gonna bruise for awhile.
7. Oh, and I am flying to Kuching tonight as well. Got some work stuff to do.

Wow. Time flies. Again.

News time:
1. I am going to be the lead engineer for a small project. It's a good start :)
2. I bought Phillip Pullman's Dark Materials trilogy book.
3. I just came back from offshore. 3 days work.
4. I tried programming a game with Python. I am still stuck.
5. Zelda: Phantom Hourglass will be out very very soon. Game of the year nominee along with Bioshock, and Halo 3.

Time to get some sleep.

In March 2005 I posted about a book I've bought and read when I was about 10. It was called the Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. If you have a decent command of English, read it. It's a fantastic tale of puns and words with numbers thrown into the mix. Well, I lost my old copy a long time ago. I forgot to mention it here that I have bought the book again about 2 months ago at a bargain price of RM25.04. Yes, it's that cheap. Considering the fact that it is was first written in 1961, that's a pretty good price. The book will last you a good 3-4 hour read, faster if you're speed reading, but you won't get all the details. It is a highly recommended book that detracts from the monstrous epics that we are usually forced to read nowadays. It's a light-hearted traditional English fun. Recommended.

Yesterday, I was on a book buying spree. I got myself the last copy of Northern Lights in MPH MidValley after reading Aimo and Onion's fantastic appraisals of the title. I will probably start reading it tomorrow.

I also got myself Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Just finished it about 10 past 12 just now. I would love to say, that the story was MUCH MUCH better than Order of the Phoenix. Finally the pieces of the puzzle finally fell into place. Good pacing, good direction, and a very entertaining read. The series ended on a high note, so it wasn't too bad after the slump the was OotP and the blah-ness of the Half Blood Prince.

Now for a surprise, I bought another children's fantasy book titled Tunnels solely based on the cover and summary on the back. It was a paperback version, and was going for RM40, so, I said to myself, why not? I'll probably be reading it last. I read the first chapter, and it sounds interesting enough tho.

On a different note, I might end up buying a new computer. With proper parts and proper Windows XP SP2 license. I'll be needing it to install XNA and Microsoft C# and .Net framework. It's about time I started living my dreams :) Of course, it'll be a side project thing :D For now :P

3 weeks...

After 3 weeks of having no internet and very limited connection to the real world, I am finally back on solid ground. When the Boeing 737-400 arrived at Labuan Airport, there was a huge thunderstorm, and the plane had to return to flight after almost touching down. We stayed in the air for about 30 minutes before successfully landing.

Lots and lots of work was covered during the time I was on the platform, and I even managed to watch both seasons of Prison Break (Season 1 was great, but Season 2's direction was pretty crap), the first season of My Name is Earl (Funny!), the first season of Kyle XY (figured out who Kyle was halfway thru the series), American Pie: The Naked Mile (passable movie... lots of fanservice). Stayed in a 6 room bunk with a bunch of cool guys.

My phone had pretty bad reception on the barge, so I could only send text messages (and occasionally receive them). Voice communication was pretty difficult as the line breaks up to easily. Maybe it's time to get a new phone...

Ended up playing the DS and finishing Normal Mode and 3 quarters of Hard Mode. I love this game! Managed to get to Dungeon level 12 of Etrian Odyssey, and unlocked a bunch of stuff on Taiko Drum :D

Anyway, I have to return to the office tomorrow (or later today) to submit my time sheet and claims, so I guess I got to go sleep soon. Or something. Heh.

5 Months... Wow!

Hello everyone who still visits here.

Still alive I suppose. I am leaving for Labuan and the South China Sea tomorrow. After being in Pasir Gudang the last 2 weeks, work is taking me to Sabah. Lots of travelling. The money is good though, so I can't really complain. It's just quite tiring and hectic.

Anyway, right now I am playing:
(DS) Etrian Oddysey - A game for OCDs. Good fun.
(DS) Taiko No Tatsujin DS - Rhythm game based on the arcade drum game. Good fun!
(DS) Ouendan 2 - This game never gets old.
(DS) Ouendan 1 - Neither does this.
(DS) Picross DS - Close to finishing normal mode! :D After that, it's hard mode...
(DS) Yoshi Island DS - It's actually a sweet game...
(DS) NES emulation - I'm playing classics! Got the idea when Contra 4 was announced.

As you can see, my gaming time's taken up by the DS. Hahaha. Also, I've been playing a new TCG that's been out for a couple of months based on the Stargate Universe. It's a pretty good game with some funky card dynamics. If you ever get the chance, do try it out. I think there's a free online version of it (you can only select 1 starter) and you can opt to play it online instead. Me? Oh, and in other news, the last book of Harry Potter is out. I haven't read it yet myself. Read from Aimo and Onion-sama's livejournal about Northern Lights, so I might grab that next as my next reading. I wonder if the Wheel of Time has ended. I haven't read any recently.

Oh, and if you ever get the chance, get Regina Spektor's albums. Her songs are excellent! Highly recommended!

I'll try to post more, but I doubt I will be able to for the next 2-4 weeks. As I've said, I've got to go to Labuan and the stay on a barge to commission an oil rig control system. Much fun, but the working hour's 12 hours. Won't be able to bring my handphone along, and I doubt there's an internet connection there. I wonder what will happen when I come back...

Job Level Up!

The new job is pretty good so far. The environment is more controlled and a bit more relaxed. I can actually arrive at the office on time now. My body clock is adjusting nicely.

On December 26th, I lent my Wii to one of my old office friends. He's planning to pass it to me before the 8th this month. I have been depraved of my Wii during the last month or so, which means I can go on a Wii Binge later. Hahaha.

On the other hand, I owe a fair bit amount of money (bills and credit card), so I'll have to lay off the monetary spending until later this year. I've still gotta keep the cashflow running for the condo.

Oh, and Heroes is now running up to episode 14. Sweeeeet.

Back from Singapore

First thing first, I discovered that staying at a backpackers' dorm is more fun compared to staying inn your own personal room. We stayed at The Inn Crowd off Dunlop St. and the atmostphere was pretty brilliant. I met a guy from Bath who supports Liverpool (Sorry, I couldn't remember your name) and chatted up with two girls from Luton. All three of them were on their long vacation (dammit, why doesn't Malaysia allow such things?) and will be returning to England in 1-2 months time. So, to the Liverpoolian guy from Bath and to Lindsey and Carrie (I'm not even sure if the spelling is right...), this is Ahmad saying hi! :D

Well, regarding the tourney, I went 2-3 out of six games. And yes, I know that doesn't add up. I lost the first 4 of my games. But, on my third one, I pulled magic out of my ass and somehow I managed to bring my opponent down with me. And I did it with trash talking. And lots of luck. Most people wouldn't believe what happened, but it did. Judge Ben managed to get to the top 16 but due to a careless mistake (which he will probably never forget in his whole lifetime) he committed, he was eliminated in that round. Loco went 3-3, but lost to The Home Team thanks only two cards that his opponent played during their whole match. Ouch!

Food down in Singapore was alright. Not great, but it's enough to keep us going. I still prefer the food in Malaysia though. There's no live TV at any of the food places (when compared to Malaysia) due to copyright issues.

I still have 50 Singaporean dollars left over, but part of that is going to be used to pay for the rooms that Judge Ben booked and paid for. All in all, I have only spent RM350-- down there for a 3 day, 2 nights stay. It could even be cheaper if I stayed at the dorm for both the nights.

Oh, and today for some odd reason, my Supercard SD decided to crap out and not able to read my SD card. I can probably get it fixed somewhere, but until then, I decided to grab myself a Revolution 4 that seriously looks sweet with the DS lite.

Oh, and Singaporeans love their PSP. Note that there was an idiot at the tournament who kept playing HHH's theme song over and over and over again on his PSP. Nothing against the PSP, but he should at least think about others. :/

As if...

I spent about 3 hours to clean up my workplace today. There's a LOT of junk there. 3 boxes to throw out, 2 boxes o give back to the company and 2 Boxes for myself. Hahaha.

Some of you may (or may not) be wondering why I quit my current job. There are a lot of reasons, and if you call me out for mamak, and I'll tell you all about it. Heh.

I've been reading up on people's blog on how 2006 has changed their lives (usually for the better).

For me, 2006 has been a really shitty year. Seriously. I grew complacent during this year. And lazy. For all the fun I had, I've treated those around me quite badly. Hopefully this year will be a good for me and those close to me (sad to say, not very many of those tho).

I found out that the new year is just like every other day. Since I was in Sri Lanka at that time, it's surprising to see why everybody else celebrates it so much. But then again, Sri Lanka does celebrate its New Year in April...

Anyway, like I said in my previous post, I plan to do quite a fair bit of things this year. Some are quite realistic, while others may take up some time to achieve. I still think that they are all manageable.

Maybe I should do the whole rhyme thing again? It has been a while. Haha.

I should probably be sleeping right now, but the fan above my bed is making some weird squeaking noise, so I think I'll sleep on the couch in the living room later.

I just cleaned up some links (after such a long time) and update the ones that are still around. Others, I have also updated, although I haven't gotten to adding any new ones. I promise I will! SRSLY.

I am currently on my last run in my current job, so therefore I will be pretty much squeezed until my last day. However, I will have to find time to clean up my desk (there's approximately 4 years worth of... ~~junk~~ memories) before I leave.

I was hoping to give out some training of everything I know about the system I've been working with for the past 4 years, but so far I haven't found the time.

I found out today that programming is like riding a bike. Once you knew how, it's easy to get back into doing it. I'm quite proud of the little program I designed (with a little help from my colleague, of course!). This should be my one of the last programs for my current company. I've got one more to settle.

I'm not sure if I delve into much of my work, but it's been quite a roller-coaster ride for the 4 years I've been here. There's been ups and downs, lefts and rights. The good, the bad and certainly the ugly. During my tenure here, my sleeping places have been at the following:
1. On the Bed
2. On the floor (cement or linoleum)
3. Office table
4. On the office document cabinets
4. On the office couch in the waiting area
5. Office chair (It's reclinable! Not my fault the chair's comfy!)
6. Tunnel (Oh, the Penchala tunnel days...)
7. Road (Also during the Penchala Tunnel days. This was during its pre-open days)
8. In electrical panels (Often enough, I must say)
9. Standing up (I was tired, okay?)
10. In the toilet (2 Hours/0 hours of sleep on a 72 hour run...)

I also plan to achieve some of my New Year's Resolution:

1. I resolve to find myself a girlfriend this year! Hahaha. After my last (and extremely short relationship - less than a month old!) 2 years ago, I feel I'm ready for another one.

2. With my new job, I plan to work the hours, but also find the time to get some time off. I may need to work shifts and all that, but at least it'll be controlled hours, and not like my current job.

3. Travel more! It has already begun with this almost unplanned Singapore trip.

4. Lose some weight. I'm growing a tummy. T_T

It's been a while since my last entry. A few things have happened since then.

1. Went to Sri Lanka for work again. Hahaha. This time it's all good. All items cleared (and even had the President of Sri Lanka officiate the water treatment plant). I left Malaysia on the 28th of December 2006 for this trip and "celebrated" the new year and Eid-ul Adha over there. I got really sick for almost 9 days there. Bleh. However, I brought my DSL along and managed to finish the Sweating difficulty equivalent for Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! This game just plain rocks. I arrived in Malaysialand on the 8th of January.

2. Almost everybody in the office knows that I am leaving by the time I came back. I think it's partially because of the fact that the company is still small-ish, and also because ~~rumors~~ stories in the office spread really quickly. I will have to pack my stuff soon. 26th is my last day here. It's been a great run here. There have been ups and downs and lefts and rights, but generally things had been positive. I'm just testing new waters and trying to develop myself further.

3. Before I leave I have to make sure that the SMART HMI is up and running properly. Or at least presentable. At the moment, it is "presentable" but not to the level that I would like it to be.

4. On the 26th/27th of Jan, I am going down to Singapore! W00t. After a 3 year hiatus, I will be going back down there for a wrestling tourney. I hope to meet up with some DSL players down there! The tourney's on the 28th and hopefully I have a deck by then. FBI again? o_O Can I hear Multi revolution maneuver cards? Sweeeeeeeeet.

5. I'll be starting in the new place on the 1st of February. It should be good. Lots of site work and commissioning. I hope this will open my mind a bit more.

Looks like I'm not going to Sri Lanka yet. It's postponed till after the holidays.

I'm having a good time with Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Right now I'm at the 7th dungeon. So far everything is looking good. I also heard that the Weather channel is up. I shall update it when I get back home.

I might end up working during the holidays again. But surprisingly enough, this time I'm not so bitter. I guess it's because I've been slacking off quite a fair bit recently, and I should try to finish off whatever I need to do so that I can move on.

Also, in other news, some of you may know my younger brother. He's gotten a job in Netherlands doing market trading. After he finishes his degree in about 6 months, he'll be off. That's unless he finds another job that pays well in the UK...

I plan to start a (web)comic soon called Crazy Psycho Bitch From Hell: Based on a half-true story. I hope that I'll continue doing it after that. Hahaha. I'll probably use open canvas or something. Hahahahah. It's gonna be crude I tell you. CPBFH:BOAHTS (a real mouthful, eh?) will be a parody of sorts. I just hope whatever it is based on doesn't come to haunt me. Or douse me with gasoline and light me on fire.

I know it's a bit late, but today (17 Dec 2006), is the first ever Sci-Fi and Fantasy convention in Malaysia. It's held at Cineleisure. I might drop by after I get some work done :D It began yesterday.

Comic Fiesta also began its 2 day event yesterday. Talk about clashes. I managed to join in at about 5:30 pm-ish.

It was a great day. Met up with old friends whom I haven't been able to see for the past 1-2 years. Hm... has it been that long? Eisu, Aimo, Booya, Onion-sama, Aya, Reins, Jive, and Dinjerr make up the old MAAO crew. Zid wasn't around (heard he was in Beijing) and neither was Laine (who's working in the US). Catching up with the guys was damn fun. Managed to get Eisu to help me finish off an EBA stage :D

They'll all be at the sci-fi/fantasy con tomorrow. I'll probably join up later in the evening. I need to get away from my job...

Rather than logging in at blogger.com, I have decided to try out this firefox add-on called performancing (check the firefox extension for more details). If this works, it looks very sweet. Blogging is made easy! I shouldn't have any orason not to blog any more :P Anyway, I am think of moving the blog to another location. Mainly because blogger is fairly limited in what I have in mind at the moment. It's not that I don't want to go the minimalist way, but I have some other things I want to try out, and blogging on blogger is not giving me enough flexibility...

Thanks to last night's running nose, bad headache and high body temperature, I decided to rest for the day today...

Here's a quick lowdown on what I've been doing recently.

1. Since I've brought back my bro's Gamecube to Malaysia, I've been playing it quite often. I've finished Eternal Darkness 3 times (sweet game. Highly recommended), started on Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (very very good game... I'm just stuck at this one place :/), played multiplayer Bomberman Generations, played a bit of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (a bit overwhelmed by the game...), played a bit of Viewtiful Joe 2, and finished Resident Evil 4 3 times :D

Resident Evil 4 aand Wind Waker gets my vote for being excellent games. Eternal Darkness is also excellent. Not many games get me to replay it multiple times, but RE4 and ED both managed to make me finish them both 3 times each.

I have also been downloading a couple of TV series: Drawn Together and Heroes. DT is an animated TV series that is wrong in so many ways, while Heroes is a great story of superheroes... except that they don't wear spandex costumes. Seriously, this show has great potential.

On the gaming news front: Nintendo's profit is up 70%, and Sony (as a whole) is down 94%. Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade is already out, and I've already played a bit of it. Necrons... are the bomb. I love the way how they are translated from the tabletop to the computer game. So, now we have 7 races without the 'Nids.

Guild Wars: NIghtfall is out, I think... and since I haven't even gotten Factions, I think I might skip this one out.

Regarding social life: Met up with friends during the weekend. Nothing much.

It's already 6pm. I guess I should go cook. Yes. Cook. HahHAHHAAH :P

In my bro's room right now. The UK weather is quite okay. The same old dreary weather... Rain.

So far everything's been good. The Prague trip was very nice. The city was beautiful! Unfortunately I forgot to bring my camcorder battery charger (the camcorder was somehow switched on while in my bag,) so there's no chance to take videos, and my bro forgot to bring his CF card for his camera. All we had were my bro's Motorola Razr which had a tiny 1.1 Mpx camera in it. Oh well.

The trip to Goodison Park took us a good 5 hours one way! The british railway system is unreliable as always (according to my bro). Lots of detours, but we managed to get there in time to see the pre-match stuff and kick-off. I even managed to catch Everton's goal right before half time on video! It was a game we should have won but ended up in a draw :( Kinda frustrated. We should have bagged in at least 1 more goal.

Now about the match, it was great... but the fans were bloody brilliant! With no commercials, no half-time commentaries, and all that EPL thingies we usually see on the telly, it was pure football. When we scored, the whole stadium (minus the Visitor's area) was in a total euphoria! Even my bro, who isn't a real football fan, was excited. Heh. And when ManCity scored the equalizer during injury time right before the final whistle, the disappointment was overwhelming. It's just football at its purest. Jolly good show I must say.

Anyway, I'll be out of here on Saturday, which therefore means I'll be back in Malaysia on Sunday night. I may or may not post another entry, but until the next time, ciaoz!

In the office at the moment. Yes, I know it's 3:20 am. And yes, I know it's a Monday morning.

I should probably be doing work, but I ended up playing Advance Wars Dual Strike. The whole day.

Anyway, I've got a deadline on the 11th of Spetember, so I doubt I'll be able to update until then. However I will be reading the blog, so if anything, please do reply here.

What I plan to do in the UK? Here's a list:
1. Watch an Everton game. I checked the schedule and there's only 1 game during my stay there. And it's a home game too! Maybe stock up on some original jersey rather than the cheap Thailand rejects that I am currently wearing right now.
2. Get some cheap 2nd hand Nintendo DS games. Or even 1st hand. I know the games in the UK are a bit more expensive than in the US, but if I recall correctly, they're still cheaper than in Malaysia. Plus they have bargain bins!
3. Maybe get some gamecube games in anticipation for the Wii? Not sure yet. See how it goes. Or perhaps cheap wavebird controllers while I'm at it. They are compatible with the Wii anyway.
4. Buy some deco stuff for the new condo. Hahaha probably some trinket or something.
5. Find a cute girl? HAHAHAHAHAHA. Lol. I wish. Heh. Long distant relationsships don't work. And I'm not into this pre-marital hanky-panky :P
6. Maybe got more to add, but I should get back to work. It's almost done... And I should go get some rest after this.

In the office again. Bleh. Need to finish at least 2-3 hours more worth of work before I can leave... which probably means I won't. Lol. Almost fell sick yesterday. Ended up not going to the office and mulching at home downloading some much needed manga :D

Anybody thought about bringing Nintendo to Malaysia (or South East Asia)? I would love to. But I have zero assets to push that thru. NOM or NOSea. (Sounds like Nausea o_O). Then we can spread the Wii love!

I should create a game idea thingie that I see everyone and their grandma are doing. Bandwagon!

Game idea #1:
An Action RPG that runs has only one city. But it's a HUGE ass city. Basically, the world outside is blocked off because of an invading army. And your role starts small, but eventually you'll have to take care of the invading army. For most of the game it'll be an action rpg, but some sections will be RTS-ed. You'll be doing lots of running, jumping and killing in the game, and you reason out why the invading army wants to get into the city.

I think only Vagrant Story has actually done this (minus the RTS section), but I was thinking of an even larger area to explore and even more secrets.

Your character starts off with some basic stats and as uses the same weapon, the more skill he becomes at it till he reaches a limit, by then in order to increase that same weapon skill, he must also increase a different weapon skill. I mean, you get better ideas on how to handle weapons if you try out others, right?

New post in 2 weeks. I know I've been saying that I'll regularly be posting new stuff, but unfortunately, 2 major things have happened since the last post:
1. Work. Lots of it. I've been putting some work off (I'm becoming such a lazy ass. Which should stop.) but there's still tons of work left. In the last few weeks, I've ended up sleeping in the office more than my whole working life here. While still accountable on 2 hands, it's still helluva lot.
2. My house's ADSL modem got busted. By lightning. Again. :/ It's my fault mainly because I forgot to unplug the RJ30 modem cable on the only day of the month that had a mega-lightning storm. And before I left it was a very very very clear day too. *Sigh* Anyway, we got a adsl modem-wifi router combo as a replacement. I had to fork out some money on it, but since the thing is now in the living room, it should always be off when not in use. While this means it's less likely to be burnt, I have to install a wifi card on my comp. It's there on my table, waiting for me to assemble and install, but I'm way too lazy. So, until I get it done, there's no internet at home for me. Unless I'm using my bro or dad's laptop, but that isn't as fun. Plus no online D2/GW/PC gaming for me... My DS is still keeping me happy with my gaming needs :D

Anyway, onto the news!

1. If anybody has been catching up on Gaming news, it's no longer the PlayStation brand. It will be PLAYSTATION from now on. Good news? Easier to spell. Bad news? It's all caps, which means if you're reading it on the internet, it's gonna sound like you're shouting. The ugly? Nobody's gonna use it. Stick to PS3 :D

2. There has been a whole list of Wii rumors. I'll list them as I remember them:
a) Launch date. Earliest is October 2nd. Latest is November 14.
b) Super secret hidden feature still to be unveiled.
c) Technical Specs rumors.
d) WiiConnect24 rumors.
e) Game rumors. Most notably the Star Wars game with lightsaber action!

3. There has also been some PS3/PSP rumors:
a) There might be a price drop for the PSP. Well according to CNN Money anyway.
b) Devs are not developing games for the PS3 and instead for the XBox360 and Wii. Development cost too high? CELL processor too complex? Flying pigs high on LSD causing mass outbreak of epileptic seizures amongst the game devs? Well, scratch that last one, but whatever it is, while some game devs are cancelling some PS3 projects, others decided to hold off the development until things look brighter for the console giant.
c) Oh and EA says that Sony better buck up on the PSP because DS seems more fun.

4. DS news?
a) 3 notable games are being released now or soon.
- Mario Hoops 3 on 3 (developed by Square Enix). Basketball game that requires lots of tapping the touchscreen, team tactices and a slew of Mario and FF characters.
- Starfox Command. It's Starfox. Back to basic Starfox. With touchscreen for path selection. And multiplayer.
- FFIIIj. The one with the onion kids. Except the game was completely rehauled from 2D to 3D. With Wifi gaming too (for God knows what, I don't know). But it is an FF game!
b) Homebrew DS robot (google for the video, or youtube for it)

5. XBox360 news?
a) Halo the movie is probably gonna be directed by Peter Jackson. Whoa.
b) More Xbox Live stuff. Street Fighter II is out on it.
c) Nothing else I can think of...

6. PC gaming news?
a) WoW: Burning Crusades news is out.
b) GW: Nightfall is announced.
c) I like the Hellgate London screenshots.

Whee! Wii? Whee!

I thought up of an idea while browsing game forums.

Now, if anybody knows, the Wii has Wifi capabilities and is able to communicate with the DS.

I posted the following on Gamefaqs-Wii General, Wii60.com and Lowyat.net forums:

I just hit an idea.

Program a game that is downloadable using the VC for a low price, playable in short burst, but high on multiplayer content.

Use the Wifi in the Wii and use the download play option on the DS to load the game. Ergo, huge LAN party!

Or using the same method, make the Wii into a sort of server that can host the multiplayer games on such VC-DS games, but also allowing access to chatrooms, VoIP and stuff like that.

I have also added the following:

However, instead of having one game = one DS user, have one game able to be used on multiple DSs. Now think of it like a muliplayer bomberman, played on the DS, while the TV that is connected to the TV will show the whole battle. Sort of like an obs cam.

Now think of using that idea in MP:H, or RTS (if they ever make one for the DS), bomberman, mario kart (Look it's F1 Live on the TV! No! It's Mario Kart Live!) Tetris, and many other Wifi games that fits in.

Or you have quick simple games like multiplayer missile command.

Hell, you can even do it the other way around from the DS to Wii!

Now, if only Nintendo would come up with a DS cart-RW flash storage that can store games downloaded from the Wii...... Think of the possibilities!

Been awhile since my last post (and from the looks of it nobody even noticed. Hahaha). Doing a couple of things at the moment:

1. Trying *keyword here* to concentrate on work. And it's not working.
2. Downloading Phoneix Wright: Ace Attorney. Letting it run in the background.
3. Typing this.
4. Surfing the web for more video game news (Wii, DS, PS3, XBox360, Retro, etc.)
5. Was "playing" Electroplankton. Relaxing...
6. Was playing Super Mario Kart DS. Not so relaxing...

Things I am not multitasking but am currently looking into:
1. WWE Raw Deal all over again. This time a deck for Funaki, another 0 superstar value character card.
2. Still looking into my game design. However my office colleague's too busy. So I have to figure it out on my own.
3. Trying to get GBA games to save on my DS. For some odd reason, they don't want to. I want to play Minish Cap :(
4. Looking for a girlfriend. Lol. Yeah, I am still kind of skirt chasing.
5. Keeping money for my Nintendo Wii.
6. Giving/selling my Enamel Navy DSlite to my bro. Planning on buying a Polar white one instead. But for some odd reason, my bro doesn't want it... yet.

Blogger fuzzy logics seem to think that my blog is a spam blog. o_O I suppose multiple short entries along with me shouting everything about the DS recently contributes to that conclusion :D

At work I'm supposed to submit my appraisal form (aka own death warrant) today, but I haven't... so I guess that's one miss. On this Friday, the consultant wants to see the HMI (they commented on it a few weeks ago)... I have to finsh quite a fair bit before then.

Last week, I was at an Expo as an exhibitor. Spent the day explaining the SMART HMI over and over and over again. My jaw was damn tired, and I was pretty damn thirsty after 6...

On to world cup news, Italy squeezed a 2-0 extra time win over Germany to save a spot for themselves at the finals. Tonight wll be France against Portugal. I'm indifferent of the teams who's going to the finals, but I hope Portugal doesn't make it :D And no, I am not supporting England! Underdog ftw!

Hahahaha. Actually, I'm just trying out moonshell's midi and jpeg viewer capabilities... I didn't have anything nice to put on the flash cart, so I took quick look and saw that i have some hentai pictures to test... Hahahaa. Now I gotta see how to configure it so that it the images can be viewed on both screens. Heh. This is for educational purposes only :D

Right now I'm looking through a Genesis (Sega Mega Drive for most of you) Emulator for the NDS/GBA.. Heh.

I haven't gone home in 3 days. Still stuck at the office... I should really be finishing the work, but I'm stuck on Wiki and gaming news websites @_@

3 days... I haven't taken a bath. Well, not exactly unusual, mainly because I've done it before. (Water shortage in Uni...) I've gone 5-6 days before heh... Needed a good scrub after that to get rid of the filthy feeling... During that time, I think some of the students ended up going to the college building with a toothbrush, toothpaste, hairgel and a comb to look presentable. Aah... the good old days... :P

Update from the office. I think I got the hang of things. I think.

Work has again been piling up. So I shall be incapitated in a hill of programming and graphic stuff for the next few weeks. HOWEVER, I have decided on the system to create the new game. It shall be the DS! Muwahahahaha. The system fits the idea perfectly. Heh. If it kicks off, this would be THE project. Once done, I can try to load it up on the net and let everyone enjoy.

Been busy for the last few days... This includes work and the DS. I've been downloading roms to load up and my list is increasing steadily. However, I have also downloaded a couple of homebrew software.

One is a PDA-like software called DSOrganize that has Vcard, a to do list, text editing, address book, an MSpaint thing, planner, calendar, calculator and mp3 player. However, it felt a bit wonky (there is no handwriting recognition software (although this is a rather difficult to program in the first place.)) and the calibration of the stylus was a little off when running the program. I would say that the functionality is there tho. So if you ever need to run your DS as a PDA, look no further.

The second is a software called Moonshell. This sweet app is a multimedia player that can run movies (converted mpegs, avis and the likes), image viewer, and mp3 player. They even put extra effort to give the ability to change the interface skin. Right now it made my very shiny DS lite into a very shiny iPod wannabe. W00tness :D

Anyway, if you ever have the chance... get Meteos. Great puzzle game with very good funky music. :D

My brain is working overtime recently. One is mainly because of work. The other may be because of a discussion with a couple of colleagues of mine. I've been known to
a) draw comics/art
b) writing stories
c) making up PnP RPG systems
d) making up Computer/Console Game
e) making homemade movies

Right now, I am currently in the process of doing e). A friend of mine and myself have decided to make a homemade movie with the 10 years old analog Sony Handycam that I have recently acquired. We have thought up of the story board and all, that but we have yet to see production of the thing. It will be made eventually (by the end of next month hopefully) and I will be stuck with work...

With all the thinking, I may want to start with d) soon. However, I'll be stuck with this part time. The last time around I tried this was about 3+ years ago. We managed to get collision detection to work (from scratch) but the project didn't go as planned. The 4 of us got busy with RL (work for me, and higher education for the rest) and therefore it stalled and died there.

However, I have never lost interest in creating a game. I am hoping to start of easy,. My first idea is to create a shoot-em-up. This is mainly because with a shoot-em-up, all the basics of video game design can be learnt and applied.

Some of these basics include: Collision detection, animation, pre-programmed path, learning path, difficulty settings, and a bunch more. However, I do not know where to start. Google or wikipedia?

This time around I'll talk about Metroid Prime Hunters.

First of all, this is an FPS. Yes FPS. On a portable handheld console. How do they do it you ask? Well, the stylus acts as the reticle aim (mouse look), and the d-pad acts as move forward/backward/strafe left and right. And the L button is for firing the equipped weapon. How to change weapons? There's a large enough area in the touchscreen that allows for weapons, items, and morphball. Jumping is done by double tapping the touchscreen or pressing the A button. Overall, the layout while quite different from a mouse and keyboard setup, is actually pretty damn good. The higher the sensitivity of the stylus, the lower the accuracy but the faster the screen moves (as per mouse). The usage of the stylus/touchscreen is highly utilized with this game.

The graphics looks pretty good actually. The texture isn't PS2 quality but they are much better than the PS1. Infact, the game looks pretty good. The colors are vibrant, and the enemies look pretty good. The enemy AI, while standard fair, do get a bit tough later on.

Storywise, I haven't gotten very far, but there's sufficient information. On the other hand, the reason I don't play it for too long is because I tend to get hand cramps with the the amount of strafing that is required. The keyboard/mouse setup doesn't have this because the WASD keys are quite far apart, but the D-pad is actually quite close. But it does allow me to at least finish one stage before the cramp starts. I wonder how it would feel with the standard DS...

Oh, the best part is the Online play, espcially on WFC. I sucked big time, but that's because I've only played the game for 2 hours before trying out the MP game. But I think I may have gotten the hang of it. Hahahaha. The maps are balanced, and there is much fun to be had... I can't wait to find 16 players playing at the same time.

Final Verdict? It's a great game. One of the must haves for the DS, mainly because it's THE FPS to play on it. Highly recommended.

I'll eventually finish it off, but I have some much more interesting news. It's 1:37am in the morning and I'm still in the office. Time for a break... Right now, it is noon July 11 in the US (EST). So what does this mean? July 11 marks the day of the street break date for the Nintendo DS Lite. It's good news for Nintendo who's taking this current handheld console war by storm. Japan alone has had 2 million sales since its debut. And yes it looks a bit like an iPod. Feels like one too. I've got handgrease stains all over it and had to get a glasses lense cloth wiper thingie.

More interestingly is that Sony (executives, and not Sony fanboys surprisingly) has been spouting crap recently. Check them out here and here. Sony's been doing very bad PR for quite sometime, but for some reason, people are only noticing it now. I have to admit that I was one of them, but they provided an alternative platform from Nintendo at the time (and Nintendo had to screw up with the whole third-party deal after the SNES :/).

With the PS3, nobody will ever need a PC? I suppose there will be a keyboard and mouse peripheral later on? I sure the hell don't wanna type on a virtual keyboard (like the ones on touchpanels) when IMing, Plus I am not so ambidextrous to handle 2 analogue sticks to play FPS (and that's the only thing that's putting me off Halo 2 :D Love it for the atmosphere and dialogue). I can play FPSs just fine with the keyboard and mouse (or a D-Pad with the Stylus-NDS style). Since the PS3 can replace the PC, can I replace my hard disk in case of an utter system failure? Is there a recovery disk? I sure hope so.

I don't want to diss the PS3 (infact I will probably get it too after the mod+console price comes down in a couple of years), but the way the higher ups in Sony are (what's a kind work for fucking up?) handling the negative publicity quite badly. And the choice of words are important because you are trying to sell you product. Brand name will get you only to a certain point. Be smart Sony.

I just had a talk to my brother thru Skype yesterday, and he made a comment that I believe is coming thru. I think I am getting in touch with my gaming grassroots. Haha! How true.

Review: New Super Mario Bros.

The game is cute. Brings back to the classic platformer that Maro is known for. Interestingly enough, he lost all flying abilities (SMB3: Racoon, Tanooki, SM64: Flying Cap) but he retained SM64's butt stomp and wall jump. They added a couple of twists here and there (Look out with the mega and mini mushrooms!). But it's mostly the crazy platforming goodness that Mario is famous for.

The controls are very tight and respond quite accurately. The stylus was pretty much unused in the game, so, it's the D-pad and buttons only. And the thing is, you only need to run it with 2. Run/Shoot fireballs and Jump/Swim. The L/R buttons are used to view the map forward and backwards. Simple. Like I said, a real classic platformer.

What I am proud of is the level design. The see-saws from SMW are back, as are pipes for transports/secret rooms, pulley platforms from the original, moving platforms, donut platfoms, switches ('P' and '!'), pits, mushrooms, hanging ropes, secret staircases, mini-mushroom only areas, clouds, springs, spinning springs and many more. The level design is made quite well, and while some are fairly easy, some are... a pain and quite frustrating.

The 2D/3D mixture works well in the game, with the sprites and 3D rendered models blend very nicely with each other. Almost everything is animated and runs at a decent framerate. I have not had any problems with any slowdow of sorts.

The only gripe I have with the game is the saving function. You can only save after completing a fortress or tower. Only if you have beaten the game 100% can you save the game at any time.

I don't give a numerical rating for games, but I would say this is one game that you should get for the DS. Plus fr those people who started playing Video games during the PS1/2 era should take a step back and try it out. I mean, 3D is all nice and shiny, but 2D games rely wholly on gameplay to sell. And gems like this makes it all worthwhile.

It's 3:15 a.m. on a Sunday morning (Dammit, Sweden should have won!). I have to wake up in 5 hours to get some work done in the office. Plus the fact that I can't stop sneezing and having a running nose doesn't halp with the sleep either :/

I played on Mario Kart DS Wifi and from the looks of it, I suck. Haha. But that was before I went to Gamefaqs.com and did a bit of reading. Right now I'm just doing practices (tho I still kept losing). Maybe I'm not doing something right... Gotta try some other neat tricks.

I played Metroid Prime Hunters yesterday. Online. And it felt goooooooood. The game did not feel laggy at all even tho I was connected to my home adsl. I tried to run it at a local starbucks, but it blocked the required port, and I could only connect to the net but not NWFC.

I fought some guy named OniLink online, and got my ass whooped. Hahaha. But it felt really good. You know what does this mean? It means, portable online gaming is available to me! :D N more sitting at home (tho I still need to find a wireless point with the ports made open) and gaming all day long. Wow.

DS Lite

I think I might be transforming this blog into somewhat into a video game blog. Hahahaha.

For your information, walking in Low Yat, Bukit Bintang and Sungai Wang Plaza for 3 hours straight with no stops is very tiring business. Especially if you're recovering from a cram earlier in the day from trying to climb a 45 degree angle hill on a bike. (My poor legs still haven't recovered yet.)

After much questioning and probing, I got a NDS lite, with 230VAC charger, the screen protectors, a Supercard, 512 SD flash card, a firmware mod, and a hard cover case to store everything. The NDS lite comes with a spare stylus which is nice (incase I lose the first). All for about USD320 (RM1200). The price of the NDS lite itself was USD170 @ RM650, which must say rather expensive (the orignal NDS is priced at a modest USD118 @ RM450). Ok I admit I might have gone a real binge buying the whole thing, but it is worth it.

I chose Enamel Navy (since they didn't have the Jet Black model which is an EU exclusive) as my color and off to home I went.

The result? Beautiful. Simply beautiful. I'll take pictures of the thing later on or something :D

I finally got it connected to my Linksys wireless router last night. While I wasn't able to get anything done apart from connecting worldwide and yet getting nobody because of Streamyx's crappy ass line (the only reason why I haven't played Guild Wars in the past week is because my connection to the GW server is horrendous! I coudn't farm and explore the game :/). On the other hand, I got a good grip in configuring the WiFi connectivity for my NDS. Which literally means that I might visit a hotspot with comfy chairs and play.

Now I need to get one of those spectacle lens cleaner cloths to wipe the handgrease...

The New Console War

Not so long ago, two companies were fighting over something called the "video game market". On one hand was Nintendo. The other was Sega. Since then, Sega has dropped from becoming a harware provider and instead became a software developer. (I still love my Dreamcast tho). I don't think I should be labelled as the voice of reason, and these are my opinions. But I do have some sort of credentials. Systems I own/played are:
Amiga (I think or was it a Commodore 64. Hahaha can't remember.)
Nintendo: NES (owned), Gameboy(owned) SNES (owned and loved it), N64(owned),GBA (owned),
Sega: Megadrive (played often enough-Neighbor's), Gamegear (owned), Dreamcast (owned and loved it.)
Sony: PS1 (owned, second batch I think), PS2 (owned, first batch buggy as hell.)
Microsft: Xbox (Haven't played it in a while...)

Recently, with E3 2006 over along with the ridge racing, giant enemy crab which you atteack its weak point for MASSIVE damage (Sorry Sony, it's just too damn funny. Your presentation sucked.), there are 3 consoles (and 1 OS but that's a different matter) to worry about...

1. Sony's Playstation 3. A high end gaming console that will cost a gamer USD599 for its premium hardware, and USD499 for its core console.

Pros: Best graphics (supposedly, but however showings at E3 displayed that Microsoft's Windows Vista with DirectX 10 proved much better with Crysis), Blu Ray Technology, Wi-Fi (premium), HDMI (premium),20GB Harddrive(core), 60GB harddrive (premium), Flash card reader (premium). I won't add more, you can check out the link for details on the hardware. Good thing as well is that it runs on Linux with homebrew capabilities. Lots of 3rd party developers as well, a nice mix of Japanese and American. Also, it's online capable and can communicate with the PSP.

Cons: Expensive. USD599 for premium? That's RM2300+-. That's without adding the shipping, middleman profit, and the rest. I can a good computer with that. Blu Ray technology might end up being like the old Betamax tapes or LD. Why did people stick with VHS, VCD and DVD? because it's cheaper. I think with DVD being accepted as the mainstream optical data storage technology, I doubt Blu Ray will get a good foothold anytime soon. I would say about 2-3 years before Blu Ray gets anywhere. The SDK (Software Development Kit) costs USD10000. Yeap, 10 grand. Which means Games are more expensive. It's approximated that the games for PS3 will cost anywhere between USD60 and USD80. Even if you do work in the US, it's still helluvalot expensive. Also, the best thing that they showed in the communication with the PSP was that it was a rearview mirror for Ridge Racer. I mean... come on, show something better! I won't doubt that it can be better, but the demo lacked strength. The console is the largest by far. You can probably kill someone with it. I am also assuming it is quite heavy too.

2. XBox 360. It's already out. It's online. It has great graphics. Already has a foothold in the market. It also has 2 sets (core and premium)

Pros: It's Microsoft. Live Anywhere where you get to use the same ID when on Xbox, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Vista. Upgradable to HD-DVD, Wireless gamepad (premium). Huge library of games. Halo 3. Wi-Fi (USD100 dongle). HDMI. VoIP. The price is reasonable (USD299 core and USD399 premium) and the extras for the premium, are really extras unlike the PS3.

Cons: It's Microsoft. Black screen of Death (TM). Overheating. VERY loud optical drives, American/European developers mostly. Limited to Action, Sports adventure games, and not enough RPGS (same problem faced by the original Xbox). It's Microsoft. The console is also quite large.

3. Nintendo Wii. Well... I was a Nintendo Fanboy once (during the SNES-Mega Drive/Genesis days), I'll try not to be biased :)

Pros: Great 1st party support. And from the looks of it, they're beginning to attract 3-rd party devs too (Square-Enix are back!). The Wii-mote! The Wii-mote! Go catch the trailer! It's thin (3 DvD boxes stacked next to each other). Virtual Console (which not only allows you to download and play NES, SNES and N64 games, but also Megadrive and TurboGraFx 16 games. Not only that that, with the VC, you can download homebrew games.) Gamecube games compatable. Much much cheaper SDKs (USD2000) which allows for much much cheaper games. Can you imagine that? CHEAP games! WiiConnect24, Wifi, Bluetooth, DS connectability. All this at less than USD250 (final pricing is unconfirmed as of writing.)

Cons: The name. Wii. Lower GPU compared to Xbox360 and PS3 (tho it's been quoted that the final product will be a bit more better looking than the original Xbox). The Wii-mote could put off some players and devs. I mean, what can you do with it? Lack of a harddisk. The brand name (Nintendo=games for kids). No HDMI. No Dolby 5.1

Overall, I think 2006 will be a good year for the gaming industry. Sony has opted for the better hardware and technology = better gaming. Microsoft has opted more towards Online (with Live Anywhere). Nintendo... well, Ninty's trying to get the common people, the average joes to join in and have some fun. Yeap.... it's going to be a good year indeed.

Long time since the last post...

Lots of things happened in the past month or so. Wel, for one thing, I've been busy with work and Guild Wars. Also, my dad got himself a 40" LCD TV so, I've been on a DVD movie binge on the weekends. Managed to catch helluva lot of movies. Underworld (ok story...), Underworld Evolution (Hawt sex scene! :D), Enemy at the Gates (Sniper action + soviet army during WWII), Catch Me If You Can (pretty boy Leonardo DiCaprio can act! o_O), The Rundown, Kingdom of Heaven ("I am not those man... I am, Saladin") and a few others...

Also, if I plan to start playing Flames of War a 15mm miniature game based on WWII. The models are pretty, and I plan to play a Soviet Tankyova Battaljon (Tank Battalion) Army... Plus I've always wanted to play a WWII game.

Another thing, is that I just recently bought a second hand 8mm Sony Handycam camcorder. The model's a 1995 one, but it's in good almost perfect working condition. The only thing that doesn't work is the batteries (Lithium Ion batteries aren't invented then, so they only had). I got it off my office friend for RM100. Mwahahahhaha... I even bought some brand new 8mm tapes to test it out. So far, 've shelled out RMM 135 for a working camcorder, compared to the minimum RM1500 for a digital one... I'm gonna be my own director! W00t!

Took some time off from work on Sunday...
And I went to play paintball! Whee~~~~
The place is near the National Zoo (actually, it's about 5 km inside of the National Zoo's road entrance) and is bloody cheap. Well at least compared to other paintball spots. It's RM 70 to rent a marker (paintball gun) along with 50 bullets and a mask. Quite a bargain I must say... Lunch was an all you can eat nasi campur (kampung cooking) which only cost an additional RM5. The chicken and fish in the meal are reared there itself, so the quality is fresh!

Even better is the fact that you can stay overnight to play paintball. Yes, you can feel how is it like to be a grunt :D Rations can be provided, and the paintball session will run 24 hours. Scouting and raiding parties can be staged! Feeling hungry? Steal your opposing team's food storage! Well, you don't have to, but it's fun!

Excellent place and near to the KL and there's no tollbooth. 4.5 stars out of 5. The missing 0.5? The markers were shiny. Oh and it rained in the morning, so the face masks were fogging up badly and there were TONS of leeches (but I was lucky!)

Right now I'm thinking of getting myself a marker... Tippmann 98 Custom here I come!

The above title is actually a name of a clan in World of Warcraft. Go figure...

I'm not sure if I posted this here before, but there's a nifty little game if you're interested in a little MMO-ing strategy game. It's free for the first 30 levels (which is great to see if you like the game) and also the download is considered fairly small (258MB compared to Ran Online's 410MB and Fung Wan Online aka Pedang Setiawan Online's 420MB).

What's the game called? Navy Field. What's it about? Little 2D WW2 ships blasting each other out of the water. Well, it's loosely based on WW2 ships... They took the liberty to creating ships which didn't make it to the production line during the end of the war (but based on real blueprints) and there's actually 4 factions (Deustchland, America, Japan and the Brits). The whole game looks sweet in 2D and the requirements aren't that high. The best thing about the game is that it's a PvP fest. PvE is there, but most of the game is played on PvP styled servers and most of the missions require you to KILL! KILL! KILL! other players. I think it does fairly well on dialup too...

I think I'm gonna download it after 6pm...

Right now I'm sitting infront of my computer trying to download GAIM. It's a portable app that runs Y!IM, AIM, MSNM and something else... It's a bit like trillian but doesn't require an installation to run... much like Portable Firefox. Check out Portable Apps for more details.

Was supposed to work on Saturday and Sunday but managed to work only on Saturday till 12 midnight. Went out for mamak to catch Everton lose to Newcastle United despite being the better team for most of the match. Bleh. Well, we're back to 12th place. Outside of the relegation zone, but after the recent on form, I wish we could do more. And also despite what I say here, I also think that Solano's second goal was of quality!

Wanted to work on Sunday, but ended up too tired. Ended up staying at home watching Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story and then followed my parents to Ikea. Ooooh shiny furniture.. :D:D:D:D:D:D

Gotta finish something tonight and something else tomorrow night. All work related, so I shouldn't spend so much time typing meaningless junk here.

On the other hand, I'm feeling sleepy after lunch...

Been reading this manga called "Welcome to the NHK!" recently. It's about this guy who's a hikikomori (a person who suffers from acute social withdrawal syndrome and is actually a real social problem in Japan) and how he's trying to break through it. The story writing's superb, the artwork clean and it is a bit on the perverted side, but I think a lot of people can relate to the problems these guys suffer.

Google for voiea and you'll be able to find a server that has the translated copies of the manga (up to chapter 19). It gets depressing a bit towards the last chapter, and it does end with a cliffhanger... you'll just have to wait till new chapters come out :P

Lots of things been popping up recently, and I'm thinking about slowly cutting down on being irresponsible and too carefree. More work and stuff.

Yesterday was hectic... Had to go to the police station to pay off my summons (speeding on the highway). Arrived at the office at 10am. Did some documentation, some work, then at 2:30 got an emergency call to Bukit Batu, Johor. Since my boss was going to, we decided to go together except that he'll fetch me from Midvalley (I had to leve my car at home). Left KL at 4pm. The drive was boring, and I was asleep most of the way. Did my share of driving (without speeding!) and we arrived at the substation at approximately 7:45pm. Not too bad I must say. Dinner ws KFC (paid by the main con :D) although it was H&S :( but I usually never say no to free dinners anyway :)

Finished my part around 12pm, but some trouble occured on the system so I couldn't leave till 2am. When we left, we still haven't found the root of the problem (just found out a couple of minutes ago it wasn't our side). My colleague and I went in his car (he stays in Nilai) while my boss and my other colleague stayed behind in Johor. Did part of the driving till it started to rain (bad eyesight+bad windscreen wiper = me ended not driving for the rest of the trip). He dropped me off at the Nilai komuter at 5am, which I took a train at 5:47am (earliest one in the day). While waiting for the train, I got some sleep and almost missed the ride. Bleh nobody was courteous enough to wake me up -_-.

Reached KL Sentral at 6:45am. Took the Putra LRT to Taman Bahagia and then a taxi back home. Arrived at home just in time to see my parents who were getting ready for work. Said hi and fell asleep immediately. Got a couple of calls (which I drawled the answers) and only got up at 2pm. Went to office, and finally did some work. But the bulk of my work can only start at 6:30pm... Still in the middle of that work...

Oh my home loan got approved today. I gotta find the time to sign the S&P documents soon.

It's been awhile again since my last post, so I got to post something or else I'll lose my touch. :D

Been hanging out with my friend from Uni days the last few days. Catching up with all the news and found out a majority of my uni-mates are alredy married, or getting there. She herself doesn't plan to get married either very early or very late (she says 40-45 o_O), or not at all, while I plan mine maybe at the age of 30. Yeap ripe old 30. Haha. It's interesting to know that while myself and one of her closest friends tried to convince otherwise, she's pretty much adamant about it. At least she has a boyfriend (very nice guy, I might add) while yours truly is still searching :P

Right now I'm currently playing Ran Online which is a school-based campus MMORPG. Pretty ok so far, but WoW it definitely isn't. I'm also looking at Pedang Setiawan Online :D Both games are free, and since I'm waiting for WoW patch 1.10 to come out, I might as well do something. However since my comp's dead at the moment (in the process of being repaired), I have to play these games at the cybercafe :(

Anyway, I gotta go now. Have fun all :)

I got bored. Let's see what I can write over here... I'm using Sean Connery's potrayal as William Forrester in Finding Forrester (Loved the movie!) style to type this. You are a writer. So just write. Don't think about what you are writing... Let's see now. We'll start with a topic. Vegetable.

Not so long ago, vegetables could talk. Well, not really talk, but somehow or another they communicate with themselves. If a story were to be written in their language, neither you nor I would be able to understand anything. Fortunately, I have been able to translate them to English so that people would understand what they would mean. Now, the only problem is that some of them do not speak with proper grammar (They are mostly uneducated of course! How often have you ever seen a vegetable go to school?), so some of the dialogue would be incomprehensible.

Mind you, vegetables are very talkative creatures. Unlike human beings like you and I, they consistently bicker, argue, debate, tussle with words, mingle, converse, and just plain talk to each other all the time. They don't sleep and thus if you are able to listen to them, you would hear the non-stop chatter coming from them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!

Yet nowadays, they don't even emit the smallest sound. Why? One day they just stopped communicating. Poof! Zilch! Khatam shud! Nothing! Silence! I have looked at the source of the problem, and I began to understand why. You see, when each vegetable talks, er... communicate, they don't listen. Every vegetable talked about things that it liked, what it did, what it did not do, stupid things, clever things, the butcher, the farmer, and the ugly sheepdog that pisses on the carrot patch every night and dug up the rosebed every morning before daylight.

I think one of the vegetables thought about it (which I think is rather difficult to do because it wanted to talk at the same time) and stopped talking. Why talk when no one is listening? Bit by bit, one by one, the other vegetables noticed it too. And from being one of the noisiest beings on the planet, they became the most silent ones of all.

Occassionally, a human being or a dog, or some other small animal would dig up a vegetable and cut it off from the land. If you tried hard enough, and if the surrounding is really really quiet, you could hear the faint scream of the tiny little vegetable.

Hm... finished watching Lemony Snickett's Series of Unfortunate Events on *ahem* pirated *ahem* DVD last night. Not a bad movie. Not great, but not bad. Makes me want to read the book. Valentine's? I spent it with my parents. Mwahahahahahahaha. Don't really believe in it. Why should one day be special? Shouldn't everyday be special with your loved one(s)? :P

Might want to install MS Visio to plan out on how the condo should look like...

My office comp died yesterday. Today's effort to revive it was futile... The motherboard has gone to hardware heaven... Most of today was divided between trying to convince the IT department to help me out, helping out at odd jobs and gereally mulling around.

Anyway, I've been looking at interior decor and I like some things I saw. I think my condo will have a pseudo modern look to it. My mum prefers wood finishing and cabinets, so I think I'm a bit bored with that look. :D

I gotta go down to Bukit Batu this weekend (17 -after work & 18) and also will be conducting training in the office on the 16, 17, 20 and 21. Add on top of that a crucial product test on the 15th.

Busy busy busy. I'm trying to meet up with old friends (xazaru, alextansc, and sklc) from Uni this Wednesday (today will be too hectic) or Sunday (after I come back from Bukit Batu).

After a long hiatus, BoB returns!!! One of my friends told me that I haven't been updating my blog, and true enough I haven't. (I think most of you readers would notice this anyway :P)

It's been almost 3 months since my last post, so I'll try to summarize the stuff that's been happening from then till now :D

1. Work - Lots of it. Lots. And more lots. Weekends, holidays, nights, mornings, evenings... Bought a book on VB and VBA...

2. Gamings stuff!!! Skinks~~~~~~~~~~ I have 4 boxes of them, and a Saurus regiment. Whee. Only 1 (ONE) plastic model painted, and even that's not assembled yet. o_O Bought World of Warcraft: The board game too. Spent hours on it playing it in and out. Phew. Good investment, but requires many hours to get the system down. Started playing Diablo II:LOD as a necromancer (aka fishymancer) and an amazon. Played multiplayer (mucho fun!!!)

3. Got my finance sorta worked out. Paid some overdued payment, and recently paid the deposit for a condo! Yes, I will be moving/renting or whatever it is... It'll only be ready in 3 years time... So that's late 2008/early 2009. And yes I think if I budget my stuff, I'll be able to survive on 3 ringgit meals. Hooray for cheapo food!

Anyway I gotta scoot off and get back to work... I think this might want to turn this into a regular thing again :)

Big news! I've stopped subscribing to WoW. Purge the evil~~~ XD I'll probably be subscribing again maybe after the Priest Class is revamped or when the expansion comes out... Whichever fits my fancy more :D

On the other hand, I've been doing some research on WWII timeline so that I'm able to recreate history... or alter it as realistically as possible. I've also been writing the documentation for the release copy... It's in the works.

Was at work till 1:20 am just now...

Mwahahahahaha. Holidays for the win! My friends told me they like my inane blog posts, so I decided to make a return. :D

Last year, about the same time, I spent the time in the office working my ass off. This year, I did some work, but got most of the holiday :D:D:D:D

Oh, before we go any further...

Happy Celebrating Diwali and Eid Mubarak!!! W000t!

Spent the week ina jovial mood. Let's see... here's the low down:

Monday: Went to work. Wheeeeeeee.

Tuesday: (Diwali/Deepavali) Went to work. Wheeeeeee.

Wednesday: Spent the day lazing around while getting ready to go back to my hometown in Muar. Spent the whole car trip asleep. Was stuck in the car for 5 hours. With 2 large wooden chairs (one of which had one of it's leg almost in my face during the trip. Luckily my dad didn't execute an emergency brake.) Arrived at hometown at about 8:30pm. Played with the firecrackers taken from the customs. (One of my uncles got friends there I think). Played monopoly. Yes Monopoly with my cousins. I'm a real bully XD Went to sleep rather early for some odd reason. Even with the amount of sleep in the car.

Thursday: I didn't wake up till 11am which way way past the Raya prayers. Just so tired... My mom got angry cause I lost the raya packet my grandmother gave me. :( Gave raya money to my cousins and my grandparents. As usual, we have the picture session. W00t for big family gatherings :D Lots of fun. Just before leaving at 4pm, I found my raya packet! XD Happiness. With no more chairs on the way back, the drive was far more comfortable. Again, I slept for most of the way. Mwahahahaha!

Friday: Lazed around in the house and ended up playing MGS2: Sons of Liberty on my Xbox. Then I sent my parents off to KLIA for a trip to India. The rear right tyre burst while driving :( Changed the tyre then I dropped off my parents at KLIA. Went back home and continued MGS2. Got a call from Lye Wah (old uni friend) about a meet on Saturday. There'll be a mini reunion at Mid-Valley. Slept at 2am when I finally finished MGS2 on Very Easy mode. (I'm a pansy XD but I plan to go on Easy next before moving to the other difficulties.)

Saturday: Woke up at 10 am. Lazed around a bit cause d I felt like it. I actually watched TV! O_O;;; Readied up at 11 and left for the car workshop to get my tire fixed. It ended up with me forking out RM195 for a tyre (along with workmanship) and it was off to Mid-Valley. Met up with Aloysious, Lye Wah, Tan (or Alex as he is called now... or are you?), and Saz (aka Xazaru on my tagboard). Alysious also brought along a friend in the form of a very charming lady named Mei Ling. After talking crap about the old days, work, current events, etc., it made us all realize how old we really are. And how much some of us have grown (or how little for some of us XD). We're all prodding each other about love life, marriage and that type of thing XD I was overtly sarcastic to Lye Wah, but it's all in good fun. His rebuttals were good clean fun too. We ended up parting ways after a visit to the cinema queue (it was way too long for any of us to wait for), the arcade (and watching SCRUBS) and MPH where we spent a good portion of the time reading Batman comics :D We parted ways after that at around 6pm iirc. Saz, Tan and I planned to meet up on Sunday afternoon to do some console/computer gaming. I then went off to Amcorp to game~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Left at around 12 because I felt tired. People were RPG-ing and I got bored. Asked Triona for porridge breakfast on Sunday. Good old times :D

Sunday: Woke up at 11am. Too late for porridge breakfast :( Cleaned up the house a bit (I've been sleeping in the living room for the past few days since my parents aren't around). Couch pwns bed sometimes. Tan arrived around 12 while saz arrived around 1:30. Then it satarted to rain. Oh well... went to Atria to have lunch at KFC and looked around for gaming stuff. There was a raya kid show where the main singer is a ten year old girl... While Tan thought it was very very very bad, I thought it was tolerable... I mean, I've heard worse :D Rained stopped so we went back to my house. I explained my RPG system for a good 45 minutes, (system, plot, etc.) and then we plugged in the Xbox. Tan played Burnout Revenge while I tried to show Saz the Online aspect of Dawn Of War. However the 197MB patch download promptly put us off. So, we ended up playing multiplayer BO:R. Then we got bored, so me moved off to Dynasty Warriors 5. Let me tell you, while the 1 player mode is great fun, the multiplayer aspect is SUPERB!!! We had helluva time whacking ancient Wu, Wei and Shu's ass. With the exception of Lu Bu. Bitchass to the max. One whack cuts me down to half life! No joke! It was around 9 that we decided to stop. And also time to have dinner. Off we went to a mamak nearby. Had food, talked more and watched the beginning of the Everton - Middlesborough match. We ended up going our seperate ways after that... I ended up watching the rest of the football match at home. The match was nerve wrecking... but in the end, we held out against the reds. Wheee. Rejoice!

Anyway that's last week... I hope you can digest all that.

Whee... long hiatus!

The weekend was pretty good I think... Got myself an Xbox (damn you microsoft!!!) and joined in for Wolf's belated birthday party.

So on Saturday morning, some of my office colleagues and myself went to Low Yat/Sungei Wang Plaza to get ourselves some computer parts (I'm just there to get myself the Xbox). We spent approximately 3 hours for the computer parts... and another good 3 hours haggling for the price of the Xbox. One of my officemates also wanted to get an Xbox (a present for one of the other officemates who wasn't there). Finished the whole business there with us having approximatesly less RM2200 collectively (OMG that's about my whole month pay @_@) but with happy smiling faces.

Then I got back to the shop for the birthday party. People got bought out, people buying themselves out, people buying other people who's buying other people... It gets pretty hectic but good fun all around.

Then it was off to the suite in Jalan Ampang.

Not a bad place I must say... It started of fine and dandy (football, pizzas, twister) but later on became quite the scene when the drinking game started. Being a non-drinker, and very very sober, I couldn't help smirking and thinking what the heavy drinkers were putting themselves into. Well, nothing really happened, except a few began to throw up (I wasn't there though. Had to go and Sahur). The people who were really drunk were incomprehensible, well, they were saying some stuff, but most of it didn't make any sense. After that the guys who were still sober played on my Xbox. W00t. Got to try out a couple of games out. Some were good picks... some were total crap. Oh well...

Went into a light sleep at 8:30am and woke up at 10am to leave for home. Sent a few people back on the way and played a couple more hours of Xbox at home before ending up asleep at 1pm.

Not too bad I must say...

Uh... Let's see other things... I have a Necromantic Blood Bowl Team... Need to get the proper models tho. Been playing L5R CCG more often than wrestling... Lion Clan ftw.

Hm... work piling up is an understatement... Been very busy pretty much. If I haven't been busy with work, it's World of Warcraft :D My priest has reached level 57 as I speak :) Gogogogogogo shadow/tri-spec priest :D

Anyway, it is good to be back. Great in fact. Heh.

I should be posting more, but I gotta get back to work. Ciaoz. And I'm lazy to put all those other stuff I usually do on my blog entries. I'll add them if I feel like it... and right now, I don't :P

In the office at the moment. 10:33pm you say? Late you say? I feel it's rather interesting to run a double life heh.

One of my office colleagues was commenting about how he will take a day off next week after so much work. He hasn't seen his 6year old son in the last 5 days or so. Then one of my other colleagues commented about leave and compensation for working late nights and weekends and holidays...

Which brought me to this post. While I do like to take the occasional day off, I feel that I only deserve it if I worked bloody hard for it. I don't mind working on a holiday even. In fact I would rather save my holidays and take them on days where other people would end up working. Less of a hassle when driving to shopping complexes and all that.

And that makes me think... I go and yam-cha/game with my friends after work mainly because I feel that I deserve a break and not because I can. I sometimes feel very guilty when there's no work to be done in the office, or when I leave early (i.e. 6pm sharp). To that extent I feel glad that while I never did study as hard as I should when I was in school and University (though during college, I was quite studious... don't know why exactly. lol), I am a hard worker. I expect other people to work as hard as me, or even harder. I am motivated by those who puts their blood, sweat and tears into their work. I feel disappointed when someone decides to leave their work open ended or hanging. I am not saying that I haven't done any of these "wrongs" before (and I seriously grief when I do). I feel disappointed when someone does not do the responsible thing they should do. And at the same time I envy them. Ironic isn't it? People who don't have a care in the world. Sigh.

I think that's enough ranting for the day. Another piece of me revealed. I think I need some sleep after this. Lol.

Still alive at the moment. The weekend was rather hectic. But pretty fun. Lots and lots of work. And lots means LOTS...

Fortunately the work was delegated in groups, so we had quite a fair bit of fun chatting up while working.

I think I'm in love with chinese food. Heh.

Am quite tired, but managed to squeeze in a couple of WOW 1-hour sessions over the last few days. My priest is almost at level 22 now. Not too bad actually.

Planning to play the D20 Star Wars RPG as a Duros Tech Specialist who pilots the group's space freight... As soon as I can get enough creds to buy one. Lol. Also planning to play Lot5R RPG. Heh. Scorpion Clan FTW!

I think I should drop into my bed and fall asleep.

This weekend will be very very interesting. Really.

Lots of things are happening, but let's keep that a secret maybe? The Dawn of War compo is coming up. Been practising late nights (and mornings!) for this tourney. The winners get 5k, 2 comps and a RM8k oil painting. Wahahaha. That's right. WinnerS! It's a 2v2 match with best out of 3 battles.

Pardon the incoherency of this posting. I am typing out as I think, so it may be a bit jumbled up.

When you are alone, you tend to think too much. I think I've said this previously some couple of months ago. Maybe a bit longer than a couple of months. You'd think so much, that you start thinking about something that you shouldn't have thought about. Perhaps something forbidden. Taboo.

On a different matter, I think I was rather harsh on Sunday morning (at about 2a.m.) to a bunch of people. I was rather cranky mainly because of lack of energy and being sleepy at the same time. I apologize to those whom I had offended, escpecially to Kuok because I snapped at him. Sorry dude.

My thoughts at the moment are incoherent at best. Chaos at worst. Lots of things to think about. To do. I don't know, I think I am getting offended easier nowadays than I was a year ago. Has my level of tolerance dropped that drastically? I can easily let something slide, a remark and all that, but nowadays I'll fight back. Is it a good change? Or a bad one? Only time will tell.

I think I need to take a look back at my grassroots. Why am I the person I am? Why am I not like everyone else? Lots of rhetorics, but I really need to ask myself this. Why am I so enclosed with my own space? Maybe it's because I have no exciting stories to tell. Maybe I don't want people to find out the person I really am. Maybe behind this innocent looking mask is a spawn of evil waiting to be unleashed.

I really don't know. I think that I'm losing my grip of reality at times. I want to hang on, but it's slipping away from my fingers. Little by little, bit by bit. I wonder if I'm insecure about things.

Is it because I try to be nice to everyone that everyone wants to step on me? At every opportunity is someone trying to take advantage of me? Am I becoming paranoid?

I don't recall being like this when I was younger. Am I evolving? Or am I devolving?

Or am I just a sad sod trying to gain attention?

I'm tired. Lethargic. Let me rest.

Exploding Thingies

Whee. Tomorrow I'm off to Bukit Batu, Johor for some work. So wish me luck. Will be out of town for a couple of days at the very least. Worst case scenario, I'll be gone till Friday.

Anyway... things have pretty cooled down. Indulging myself in World of Warcraft, Dawn of War, work, work and more work. I don't know how I keep myself motivated, but I do. Heh. Maybe think less work more? Lolz.

Some poster on my tagboard (you can see him/her as "whateva" (this person will be referred as a male from this point on)) mentioned that my life is boring, dull, unexciting and so is my blog. If he thinks so, I wonder why he keeps on coming back to my blog to read my dull life. I don't know. I like stability. I like a little excitement here and there, but stability's the way for me. Things going on as routine, and stuff like that.

I wonder if people sometimes see me as the boring old...er young coot who's a party pooper. I think myself as a rational human being capable of rational thought. I think I am able to contain and control myself most of the time.

On another note, one of my office colleagues had a wedding dinner on Saturday. For me the food was great (though some of my other colleagues and friends thought it wasn't enough), the karaoke singing, the older folks dancing and all that. But the best part was the yam seng. First time ever for me and it was a blast. Yam Seng-ed 4 times and all at the top of my lungs. My voice still hasn't recovered fully yet even today.

Alright time to log off. Gotta watch wrestling, prepare clothes and maybe... just maybe get to play some games. Until next time. Cheers.

I finally managed to clock in a win in THQ/Relic's Warhammer 40K game last night. Was finally able to micro and macro like crazy. It took a fair bit of time to get accustomed to the system. Heh. Plasma pwns Marines!

My female Gnomish Warrior on World Of Warcraft Spinebreaker server reached level 26 last night. Didn't even have to grind. Hahaha. Currently sitting in Duskwood finishing off the quests. I do hope somebody buys my stuff off the Auction House in Ironforge.

After a long hiatus, I had a dream last night.

I'm too lazy to put the listening thing anymore.

When you think about it, the greatest things in life are usually the things that we take for granted. Computers, cars, and the internet for example. The sky, the quiet serenity of a tranquil lake; little things, big things that you enjoy.

Sometimes you just forget to enjoy some of these experiences. Sometimes you forget the people whom you enjoy doing things like these. They too are part of some of the greatest things you can enjoy.

When was the last time you talked to your dad about small things? Hobbies that you share alike, or even asking why he enjoys doing whatever that he likes doing. Have you ever tried his hobby on your own free will? Have you looked at things from his perspective? As much as you want to fly free, sometimes it's great that the hatchling returns to its roost.

When was the last time you talked to your mom? Remember the times when things went bad and the person ended comforting you was her? Talks that you had about growing up and things like that.

I think I may have lost my way for quite sometime now. Sometimes I forget about my parents. Sometimes it's the little things that I do that annoys one of them. But they bear with me. Why? Because I'm their son. I haven't done anything bad or anything, but I think it's about time I realize that I just can't fool around too much.

Maybe it's just my upbringing. Maybe I'm different. Maybe I'm just bullshitting. Hahaha. Anyway, I think I've ranted enough for today. Here's a toast to life and to all mothers out there. Happy Mother's Day.

Listening to 8 Mile -Eminem

Spent most of today doing 2 things. World of Warcraft and sleep. Why? Because I'm too tired to go out today. Slept at 5am after a long Iron Kingdom D20 session. Didn't even go cycling.

Yesteday wasn't too bad even with the seminar. Really, learnt a couple of things in it regarding economics, sales and marketing. And the seminar was supposed to be about Structured Thinking (writing, organization, etc.) but the guy talking is a professor in economics, so all the examples were pretty interesting. However, managed to meet up with Bitemark and its number 1 groupie (band name to be changed since a record label's using it). And guess what? It was raining cats and dogs at the time. So we had an NT7 "Feel Good Time" advert where we started singing happy songs while sitting for the rain to stop. Hahahaha.

Have to go to the IRB later. Sigh.

Thursday? Well, the meeting dragged (though I didn't complain, it did set back my plans for the day). It dragged 3 hours than expected. Spent the rest of the day at Amcorp.

Friday... well, had to visit Tanjung Malim. Had to do some work stuff there.

Status: Finally tired.

Tomorrow's a holiday but I have to work. An Aussie guy is dropping by in Malaysia before leaving for HK, and my company needs to clarify some things with him. On the bright side, it's only in the morning.

Been having this dull pain in my mouth lately. Maybe it's because my wisdom tooth is coming out. Or maybe not. It has this habit.

More interesting stuff. I am going to play Warhammer Fantasy Battle. Army? Lizardmen. Hahaha. Totally different from my Necrons and IG army in Warhammer 40K.

Weekend... let's see.

Friday night:
Worked till 8pm. Kinda. Had to do some software update in the last hour, so ended up reading "Good Omens" while the computer did its business. After work, went to the shop. Gamed. Slept at 5am.

Saturday:
Woke up at 10:45am. Groggy. Ugh. Cleaned up and left for the office to finish off some critical work. Slept for about 2 hours in the office. I think because of the sleeping position, I lost the feeling in my fingers because of the lack blood flowing through them. Stopped working at 6pm because I couldn't take it anymore. Went to the shop again. Hahaha. Didn't play much. The evening required a lot of travelling because of somebody needed the help. Reached home at 12am. Slept immediately.

Sunday:
Went cycling with my family and my dad's friends at Bukit Jelutong. Cycled 65km (could have been 58, but we took a detour while trying to find breakfast). Next time I'll have to wear sunblock and long sleeves. Got a tan. Very tired. Went to the shop after cleaning up. Went and watched Samara. I managed not to squeal. Hahaha. Again, enjoyed the company. It was great! :D Movie was pretty... "Eh". A few scary part here and there, but seriously a no-brainer scare. I preferred "Dark Water" and "The Eye" compared to this. Extremely tired by the 9. Sent a few guys back home and crashed at home by 10pm. ZzzZZzzzZ

Back to work! Weekend was excellent. Even with the work :D

Yesterday was pretty tiring. Vomitted helluva lot. ~_~ I think it could have been the dinner. Char Kuey Teow was too oily, I think. Things that got me stressed out and upset. *Sigh* Almost (Very close almost too) puffed a ciggie. Thought better against it. Score 1 for willpower.

1. Band practice. Woke up later than intended time. Case of "Alarm-is-on-the-Handphone-but-the-cleaning-service-came-over-so-my-mum-put-it-in-the-drawer-so-that-it-won't-get-stolen"
2. Managed to get the people involved in the band to the place on time. Well, not all of them.
3. Caught Be Cool. Not a bad movie.
4. Mucho Excellente dinner. Had Japanese. Enjoyed the company.
5. More gaming! Mafia-er... Werewolf this time around.
6. Slept late. Books rock.

Sunday:
1. Woke up late. Left for office at 11:10am to get some stuff done.
2. While at the office took power naps for breaks. Sleeeeepppps~~~
3. Left office at 9pm. Aiie. Had Fish and Chips for dinner at uptown. My usual shop wasn't open :(
4. Reached home at about 10:30pm. Played WoW for 30 minutes. Played KOTOR2 for about an hour. Then continued reading the book.
5. It was 3:30 am before I finished the book. Hahahaha.

Monday:
1. Planned to wake up at 6:30am, but ended up waking up at 7:30am.
2. Work. Work. Work. Some new trainees from my uni showed up. Showed them what I did.
3. Should stop writing this. 15 minutes is too much already. No time to even write a rhyme.

Before Mix.Fm played Laura on the airwaves, my bro told me about this band called Scissor Sisters who made the song. I found them to be rather good. So, I am suggesting listening to their music. All tracks on their albums sound differently from each other.

It's 1:40am. Sheesh. I should be getting some sleep.

On Tuesday, I went on a road trip with a 3 of my colleagues to Bukit Batu, Johor. It was 3.5 hours one way. The backseat didn't have enough leg room, so the trip was rather uncomfortable. However, as much as it is uncomfortable, I managed to sleep all the way to the site. On the way back, I was rather awake. Spent the time trying to finish the book that Triona had given me as a Christmas present (there was a secret santa thingie that went around).

Looks like a lot of work is coming this week and next week. *Sigh*

My WoW is suffering from bad lag and latency issues. Might have to change servers (again. bleh).

Spent most of the day infront of a computer doing work. My eyes hurt today. Will probably have to do so again tomorrow.

Oh, bought a plain black hairband so that my hair doesn't poke me in the eye so often. Whee! Planning to keep longer hair. But it's such a hassle. *Sigh*

Was playing KOTOR2 just now. Playing Darkside female Jedi Sentinel. Still not off Peragus. This is like... the 4th time I started the game. @_@

Listening to humming of the fluorescent lights in my office

Friday ended in a good way. Went to the Midnight Star Wars Con at 1 Utama to join old friends Eisu, Aimo, Jive and Aya. We tried to spread as much KOTORness around, but it seems like nobody's caring. :(

But it was cool nonetheless. The thing ended at 2am, but we left at around 1. Everybody was kind of tired (I had a long day at work, while some of the rest had work on Saturday). Not too bad actually. They showed The Jedi Hunter (spoof of The Crocodile Hunter) starring a very Aussie Boba Fett. Hahahaha.

Saturday was band practice day! This time around, Michelle couldn't make it, so the rest had to improvise. Andy (who was just supposed to hang around and listen) ended up playing bass. Damn poser :P Deb, the number 1 groupie joined us for the whole thing. Considering that Michelle wasn't around, it went pretty well. Just don't ask them to play All the small things without her around :P They recorded the whole session on tape, and ended up listening to it to improve.

Saturday night saw me viewing a 3 on 3 Warhammer 40K fight between Syamil (Space Wolves), Vinder (Necrons) and Shaz (Black Templar) against Kuok (Chaos Orks), Ian (Sisters of Battle (Corrupted)) and Blur (CSM: Death Guard). It was a rather messy affair, and the fact that the Necrons went unmolested against 3 Landraiders on the table meant a whole shitload of trouble. In any case, The Imperium with the help of the Necrons crushed the 3 pronged attack from the forces of Chaos.

Sunday: Cycled 58km. Reached home at 2+. Slept all the way till 7. Woke up. Played WoW/KOTOR2. Slept again at 1am. ZzzzZZ.

No rhyme today. A bit busy.

What is TB disease?

My coughing hasn't subsided yet. Looks like it'll go on for quite some time. There was a wrestling tourney today, but I didn't go because of the cough.

Yup, just as I thought, work is piling up. Suffered from a mild fever yesterday. Managed to get some work done though. Drank lots of water, had a few panadols... And slept for about 10 hours.

The severity of the situation is getting worse. I am getting sick and tired of the same thing over and over again. It's like watching repeats of the same soap opera over and over again. Except that I'm in it.
